Lovely, quint hotel in the town centre of Riebeek-Kasteel. Lots of places to find a comfy spot: on the front terrace, inside lounge, cozy bar/restaurant, back terrace or the upstairs pool terrace. All beautifully decorated

Cons:

Would prefer a larger bed.

Mooi hotel met prachtige veranda waar je lekker een drankje kunt drinken en genieten van het gezellige dorpje. Aardige bediening, fijne, eenvoudige kaart.

Cons:

Beetje vergane glorie en staff niet zo’n top niveau als we gewend zijn in ZA. Kamer vlak bij de keuken lawaai van de afzuiger.

Historic Charm, Modern Comfort
Pros:

We absolutely loved the combination of historic charm and modern comfort. The hotel’s beautifully restored colonial architecture and relaxed veranda create an inviting atmosphere right in the heart of Riebeek-Kasteel. Most of all, the friendly and attentive service made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our visit.

Cons:

There was nothing to fault. The entire experience exceeded our expectations.

Not meeting our expectations
Pros:

The beautiful old property has a lot of potential, and is located in right the center of cosy Riebeek-Kasteel.

Cons:

Poor value for money overall. A lot of things to be improved to move up from the current 3-star experience.

Rooms are quite small, no coffee or tea facilities, no complimentary water provided, no hair dryer.

Staff were friendly but rather reactive. Unclear where to park. No towels at the pool. Basically everything has to be asked before it will be provided.
