Comfortable, great stopover between South Pembs and the Midlands.

Location, room & service very good. Food was outstanding.

We are local to the area but decided to book to stay the night here after a Sunday roast. The staff went above and beyond in getting our room ready early. Our Sunday roast was top notch! Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to the collapse of one of our dogs, whom we had to rush to the vet hospital in Carmarthen that evening. We would just like to thank all of the hotels staff for their support and assistance, in what has been a very distressing situation.

Excellent food and service. Staff are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend. We stayed in room 301 and the views are outstanding

The Plough is fine. It is looking a bit dated and in need of refurbishment. The rooms are spacious enough and the aircon works well.

I stay in a lot of hotels and think the Plough is overpriced for what it offers. That’s probably why occupancy was quite low during my stay.

At dinner the waitress spilled wine over one of the diners at my table. The waitress didn’t know what to do and laughed, probably in embarrassment. She evidently needs retraining on how to deliver service properly.

Lovely, independent restaurant and hotel in stunning surroundings. The rooms are well maintained and nicely done. The staff are friendly, very helpful, and really look after you. The breakfast in the mornings is great and really appreciated all the efforts the staff went to over the Easter bank holiday.

Absolutely superb. Great room, spotlessly clean with comfy bed. Powerful rainfall shower. Exceptional food and service in the restaurant. Staff throughout hotel were super helpful and polite. Highly recommended.

One night stay . Staff very efficient but not friendly . Rooms really nice . Sausages low meat content , all rest of breakfast excellent . Dinner menu was standard pub food presented very well . Good for one night stop . Safety lights in room far too bright and kept us awake

Lovely hotel

I’ve stayed at the Plough many times when visiting family in the area. It is fine. Rooms are ok and breakfast is decent.
They might want to look at pricing though. I can stay at the Voco in Cardiff bay for a fracture of the cost of a night at the Plough and it is a vastly superior hotel. Perhaps the prices explain the low occupancy at the Plough during my stay. I also take a dim view of trying to monetise early check ins and late check outs at £10 per hour.
