Great stay with a very perosnal touch, even phoned each night to check how my day went
Pros:

Staff genuinely went out of their way to find solutions to any assistance i needed. They even re-aaranged my room so i could receive clients in the junior suite. Rooms were clean and spacious and really comfortable.

A good, comfortable hotel with really friendly and helpful staff.
Pros:

The room was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, the Volcano Bar a great place both to have lunch and an evening drink. For lunch, the buffet in the restaurant is also great - a real improvement on where I stayed on my previous visit to Nairobi.

But above all, I rate the staff. Josephine in Reservations was extremely helpful, especially when I had to re-arrange flights and therefore my booking as a result of the Middle East war. But Mercy and Violet in the Volcano Bar and in the restaurant also always greeted me with a welcoming smile when I returned, while the staff in reception were always friendly and helpful. The Travel Desk also arranges transfers to the airport efficiently.

The location is also good - a short walk from the Broadwalk Mall one way, the GTC Mall the other.

Cons:

Only one thing, really, to criticise. The Golden Tulip is a good hotel and is therefore popular for conferences and business meetings - there were several going on during my stay. When this happens, the restaurant can get overwhelmed and the service therefore extremely slow; on one evening, my colleague and I had to wait a very long time before our food arrived and when it did, the accompanying sauce only came later. It would have been better if the restaurant staff had been upfront with us: "we have a conference here at the moment, the kitchen is extremely busy and so your order may take longer". This would have made clear what we could expect. But this is my only criticism: when the food did arrive, it was of the same good standard as on other days. And every other aspect of the hotel was great.

Ubicato nel quartiere Westland, struttura un po' datata però tenuta in ordine e pulita. Camera comoda. Buona colazione continentale. Personale gentile e disponibile. Palestra caotica e piena di macchine di "seconda mano" ma molto frequentata con ottimi istruttori che ti sanno coinvolgere e dare buoni consigli. Piscina con acqua gelida sul tetto.
Ristorante buono. Buon servizio navetta da e per areoporto. In conclusione buona struttura con costi più contenuti rispetto ai più prestigiosi hotel della zona.
