Location, Location, Location! Central to Rapid City attractions
Pros:

Location, Location, Location! Central to everything in Rapid City. Staff was warm and welcoming. On site restaurant was outstanding! Room was small but comfortable. WE enjoyed our stay and would be exited to return

Pros:

The staff was so kind and helpful in every way. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The lodge is located close to all activities. So that made it easy to be able to do alot in one day.

Cons:

The only thing we weren't able to do was enjoy the pool area. Which was one reason we chose to stay there. It was overly crowded and the website said heated. The water was far too cold. Even after a hot day of adventuring

Absolutely beautiful location and kind staff.
Pros:

The location for the park was great, the view is absolutely gorgeous. Seeing the horses was amazing, the restaurant on site was delicious and staff great- but it was pricey.

Cons:

The rooms were not super clean- and no refrigerator or air conditioning or microwave- kind of had a barn feel - but any issue that we reported to the staff was immediately and kindly addressed.

Pros:

We stayed in the Family Getaway Cabin, it was perfect for our needs. The location was perfect for hitting all the tourist spots. Staff was great, the restaurant was fantastic, would definitely recommend the Powder House Lodge.

Great location for seeing Mt. Rishmore
Pros:

Location to Mt. Rushmore was fabulous. It was a nice place to spend the night headed west on a road trip.

Cons:

The room was pretty small to fit on three beds. There was no breakfast included, and eating at the restaurant would have added up quick for a family of 6.

Great Location to Mt. Rushmore, Badlands, Wind Cave and Custer
Pros:

We had breakfast and dinner at the Powder House Lodge and they were both very good meals. The location suited us well, close to Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave and Badlands National Parks and Custer State Park.

Cons:

The room we stayed, the Pioneer room, part of a 4-Plex, overlooked the highway. It was still a good place to stay which suited our needs and it was clean and convenient. There are cabins on the property located a bit more in the woods.
