Breakfast was excellent, very good quality served in a lovely room
Location, views from the room and breakfast
Nothing to fault
Both good
Nice
Nothing
Situation and staffing
Food quality
Breakfast was just ok.
Hosts were not friendly, towels were small and ragged. Rooms were not changed over. Very expensive for what we got.
You can't beat the location! The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The room wasn't fancy but was very nice. The shower was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was a nice quiet room and all in my party were more than pleased.
The dining room staff was good but not quite as open and friendly as elsewhere in Scotland.
very nice breakfast in a fabulous location.
a lift
The included breakfast was very helpful. They helped resolve a parking situation I had which was very kind of them. Excellent customer service!!!
The shower did have a slight drip for a while after shutting it off/ using it which seemed to go one for longer than expected but this was very minor.
Hotel was ok and provided what it said which was a room to sleep a family if four.
Hotel has a joint hot water and heating system. One can’t run without the other. We had a large water pipe (70mm) running through our room 24 x 7 which was too hot to put you hand on. We had all three windows open 24 x 7 but was still too hot in the room. 20 degrees c outside and even more in the room. We were given one basic fan that didn’t help. Too hot to sleep overnight.
Breakfast was a disaster. Just not enough staff to cope. Waited 45 minutes on day one for cooked breakfast to arrive and on day two fruit juices run out, no pastries and cooked breakfast took 30 minutes. They knew they were full but didn’t put enough staff on to cope with demand.
Paid more than Hilton in central London per night but got something 30% of the value,
Not the staff fault it is just a rundown hotel with not enough staff but charging top prices.
There was no where to sit and relax when returned to the hotel. The bar area was not comfortable and the TV was turned up very loud.
View from room was excellent
Decor was from the 1970’s very brown pine wooden ceilings, no data points anywhere, 1 accessible socket to plug things in. Very strange set up with an additional door into room from entrance door, reduced the usable space in room, en suite had a ‘vacant lock sign, similar to public toilets. Staff very very helpful but a uniform would help give a better impression.
Parking. Free and available
Air conditioning or better fan
The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and there was a smart TV. Location in Portree was right in the middle of everything and overlooking the water, so perfect for a short stay on the Isle of Skye. We arrived very late after driving all day from Edinburgh, and found out that most restaurants in town close by 9, so the hotel kept their kitchen open for us even though they had begun cleaning up.The chef even checked in with us about how our meal was.
The accommodations were clean, but basic and a bit outdated, so a bit overpriced. But we recognize that we Booked during the high tourist season.
Included breakfast very satisfying - items made to order. Parking was fine - just across the street. Location central and close to harbour. Staff very helpful and friendly. Of four hotels so far, only secure Wi-Fi (though slow). Close to east Trotternish attractions.
Slow speed of Wi-Fi.
Breakfast was excellent, good local and traditional Scottish fare.Great location in centre of town and sea view as expected
Not applicable all good
Location of the hotel
The mattress was old and uncomfortable and we could clearly hear everything from the street.
The location is good.
Smells of stale smoke and too much fabreze. Furnishings have a tired and institutional feel to them.
