Lovely hotel and excellent staff, would definitely stay again!
Pros:

All members of staff that we met were extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotless - good parking facilities and only a short walk into the centre of Truro.

Cons:

It was a cold day/evening and whilst the remainder of the hotel felt warm, our room on the top floor was chilly, with no heating on. We asked for the heating to be turned on and were assured it would be but we didn't notice any difference.

A lovely quiet hotel in a great location.
Pros:

The staff are very friendly and helpful. All communal areas downstairs are beautifully decorated and furnished. Nice quiet location just a short walk to the town centre. Our room (2) was a great size with two single beds pushed together to make a super king. Beds were very comfortable. Huge TV and plenty of plug sockets. There’s plenty of parking at the back of the hotel.

Cons:

The bathroom was in need of a refurb and was very old fashioned with only a bath and shower attachment for hair washing. No ability to have a stand up shower. As the beds were two singles pushed together they could do with providing a wider duvet as we were battling all night for our share!
Would also prefer ability to have more of a cooked breakfast than just continental, but they do have boiled eggs which was a nice option and it is advertised as continental so no surprises there.

Cadre sympa, proche du centre ville, personnel accueillant, chambre confortable, bon petit déjeuner, possibilité de manger le soir, parking, tout est réuni pour passer un séjour agréable

Good location, comfortable stay, good breakfast great staff.
Pros:

Easy to find
Parking spot with EV a bonus
Nice short walk to town
Easy route to hospital which is why we stayed
Good breakfast
Friendly welcoming staff
Nice bar and good
Comfortable beds and fan was a bonus for a stay in the heat

We used this place twice in two weeks for hospital visits

Complete and utter waste of money. We stay in numerous hotels and without doubt this is the poorest
Pros:

Breakfast was the poorest l have ever encountered.. it was like a canteen. The food was completely basic of basics. No hot food whatsoever, apart if you wanted to boil your own egg !

Cons:

The room (which was more like a broom cupboard) had very little light apart from a tiny fanlight that you couldn’t see out of next to the ceiling. A shower room that had no shelves to put your shampoo etc (which is a standard requirement) No shelves either in the bathroom itself to putany toiletries. No drawers whatsoever in the bedroom itself to put clothes, had to live out of my case, which had to be put on the bed as there was no room to put it. A wholly unacceptable woeful hotel that was more like l would imagine a hostel to be.

Excellent hotel.
Pros:

The staff were amazing. They were super helpful, polite and courteous. On arrival I was greeted with a welcoming smile & warm welcome by Eliot. I walk with a stick and have to my time on stairs. Eliot waa really kind and carried my bags up for me. At breakfast, one of the young ladies, Layla, was extremely helpful offering to carry my bowl and plate to the table. I really appreciated her help and the help of the other young ladies too. My room and all areas were super clean. I enjoyed my stay at hotel Vara, made all the more special by the lovely staff working there. I would highly recommend The Vara hotel.
