Very clean, very quiet, enjoyed the gift shop customer service was excellent. The views were beautiful in the morning.

This is home for me on the Navajo Nation and we have been staying at the Thunderbird lodge for years. It is a beautiful campus with well kept rooms and there is a restaurant onsite that serves traditional Navajo foods like blue corn pancakes and Navajo tacos. It also has a trading post store with local Navajo jewelry. You can also book tours to travel down Canyon de Chelly. I will always return to stay there. Staff is professional and friendly too. Ahe’hee.

Nice, simple, quiet and clean. Easy access by a tail to the canyon de Chelly visitor Center. No road noise and staff for pleasant. support the local Navajo Nation while staying in Chenli rather than chain hotels

This is a three hotel town - a Best Western, a Holiday Inn and the Thunderbird. We really love historic places and supporting Native run operations. The Thunderbird is charming, rustic, comfortable and in a lovely setting just inside the National Monument. The cafeteria is convenient and we picked up some gifts for our grandsons in the gift shop. Rooms are clean and comfortable and were serviced nicely while we were out for the day. Folks who comment "dated" or not four star quality likely don't appreciate the charm and grace of a place like this one.

A charming, quiet, pleasant lodging. Beds are great, rooms are clean and comfortable. The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful. Great food available on the property at the cafeteria. Fun shopping in the gift store. We were traveling with a large group—20+ and everyone appreciated the comfort and charm of this lodging.

The hotel is a typical lower level hotel. Breakfast was ok but fairly tasteless. Room had most amenities except a safe. Shower was a little iffy but useable. One tiny soap for sink and shower.

Driving in was a little sketchy and we knew very little about the area. The room was lovely perfect. The area was magnificent. Seeing the sights around the rim was spectacular. The feeling we got was awesome no crowds. The people were kind and helpful. We did the tour to the bottom of canyon and it was well worth it. A little out of our way but no regrets.

Cafeteria was good not great not bad but perfect for what we needed for our 2 day stay. Breakfast was great actually. I would recommend this to everyone.

There are very few options in Chinle, this is probably the best. It was clean, hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is just so so. We took a tour of the canyon through Thunderbird and it was excellent, would recommend.

Coffee maker did not work, very bright floodlights shining in windows curtains could not block plus other unshaded or poorly shaded lights (dark sky community). The main entrees at the cafe, chicken fried steak and chicken Alfredo, bottom of barrel for nutrition and expensive.

We had a most pleasant stay at Thunderbird. The room was spacious and comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Very quiet too. The hotel staff was very friendly. Free hot coffee in the reception room 24 hours.

One of the things that make this place wonderful is that it fits in with the park and the Indian reservation. This was my third trip to the park, and I would never stay at another hotel in the area.

This place was great and super convenient for visiting the canyon. Cafeteria couldn't be more convenient. The price was great too.

very nice and clean room, it was very quiet, cafeteria on the property, and there was a Dennys just up the street, close the Canyon, and tours were available.
