Lokalizacja i otoczenie hotelu.
Brak nawet zwykłego wiatraka w pokoju. Duszno w pokojach.Brak najzwyklejszej jednorazowej kawy za to cukru było aż nadto.Pod marką the Broadway Hotel było lepiej.
Loved it as always.
The hotel was very nice
Nothing
Staff were great, rooms were nice.
Parking is horrendous with most of the already limited parking coned off for coach access.
We've stayed here several times before the new company took over. I'm pleased that it's just as nice. It may not be fancy but it's convenient, comfortable and has parking.
Unfortunately, the roofs of the garden loggia were removed. It added an extra Mediterranean flair to the gardens.
Pet friendly, member of staff on reception was super friendly and welcoming
Great location and lovely helpful staff, beautiful garden and is close to a lovely beach and amenities
The Caledonian Hotel provided my wife and I with a very reasonably priced double room for four nights while we visited the Isle of Wight Music Festival. It was very close to Sandown Train Station, and was also in close proximity to the Island Bus Routes to Newport.
The staff we engaged with were very nice.
The Caledonian Hotel is set up more for Senior Citizen Coach Parties.
Breakfast was served from 07.30 to 09.00, with the last sitting being at 08.45, this is not ideal if you wanted a lay in after being at a Festival.
The hotel looks tired in places, holes in the carpet everywhere after the heating was replaced.
No Service after 23.00, even for water.
Great location
No air con or fans room was like an oven
Spacious bedroom and the gardens.
Needs updating. Food wasn’t great. Poor choices for breakfast. Needs a selection of fruit, yogurts or pastries. Not very many options if you don’t fancy a cooked breakfast.
Location
Room was not cleaned through out stay.
Bathroom door would not close, although maintenance sorted that out on second day.
Outside building
The staff were nowhere to be seen, the property is very outdated and the facilities need renovation
Retro live music the night I stayed
Extremely thin walls and lots of creaking floorboards. You can hear every single movement and sound from all directions around you. Impossible to sleep past 6 or 7am when other guests are awake. There were also bugs and spiders in our room.
Helpful staff, relaxing, and accommodated our needs
The staff were super helpful. I rang to explain we needed to check
In a bit early as we were going to the IOW festival and would be back really late. No problem at all. The room was lovely. Really nice shower and it was very quiet. All very good value for money. Highly recommend
Nothing
The beds were reasonably comfortable.
The facilities were disappointing overall. If you are claustrophobic, be aware that the lift is extremely small and outdated, so you may prefer to use the stairs.
On our first day, when we entered our room, we found the toilet in a terrible condition. It appeared that a previous guest had suffered from diarrhoea, and the toilet had not been properly cleaned. I immediately reported this to reception. The receptionist informed me that someone would attend to it the following morning, which meant they expected us to use the toilet in that state overnight. This was unacceptable and very disappointing.
The next morning, I spoke to the manager, who assured me that someone would be sent immediately. We then went out for the day. However, when we returned that evening, the toilet still had not been cleaned.
I went back to reception for a third time and spoke to a lovely member of staff with reddish tint in blonde hair whose name I unfortunately cannot remember. I asked her to come to the room and see the condition of the toilet for herself. She did, and she kindly offered to clean it herself. I am very grateful to her for resolving the issue.
While I appreciate her efforts, the overall handling of this situation was extremely poor. I was very disappointed with the hotel’s standards of cleanliness and customer service, and I would not stay here again.
Family Room is super and on the ground floor you are able to sit outside your patio doors. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with good choices.
