A lovely hotel in the centre of Lynton
Pros:

Hotel very central to Lynton. Has a carpark which is only £6 a day. Very attentive staff, they even told us about the history of the hotel and looked after a picture we bought in town whilst we continued exploring. Room nice and clean, lovely shower.

Cons:

Bar wasnt open

Great stay in a historic hotel
Pros:

A grand building, right in the heart of Lynton, and at the top of the cliff railway to Lynmouth. The hotel is a little faded, but is undergoing improvement at present, which is good to see. Check-in was straightforward, and the staff were friendly and helpful, telling me about the history of the building. My room was relatively basic but very comfortable, with a good bed and a tremendous view of the sea. It made a great base from which to enjoy some coastal walking.

Cons:

The walls between rooms are a little thin!

Pros:

Comfortable bed, kind and helpful staff, good location, quiet, clean

Cons:

You can see this was remodeled, but obviously didn't hire a designer. The rooms are really boring (white/yellow walls, no pictures/paintings, just very basic room). Which doesn't really matter for the comfort of the room, but just thought I would mention that.
Also super white light in the bedroom is not the most appealing!

Pros:

Lynton is an absolutely stunning and beautiful place. The hotel is historic and still retains its charm, plus it boasts an ideal location. It is just a short walk from both the center and the historic cliff railway, making it the perfect base for exploring the town and the surrounding area. There is a small car park behind the hotel where you can leave your car overnight for a fee, which we took advantage of.

Good
Pros:

Great Staff, its an older hotel and hence the rooms are a bit old as well. We had two rooms and the windows of one of them would not open. I would recommend the hotel for sure, but small tweaks can make it even better.

Cons:

Zimmer etwas warm, ohne AC. Aber das Personal sehr zuvorkommend, durften das Zimmer kostenlos zu einem kühleren wechseln.
