Prachtig gebouw met mooi uitzicht
Hotel very central to Lynton. Has a carpark which is only £6 a day. Very attentive staff, they even told us about the history of the hotel and looked after a picture we bought in town whilst we continued exploring. Room nice and clean, lovely shower.
Bar wasnt open
Location, car parking, view from room.
No breakfast yet but nearby cafes are available.
A grand building, right in the heart of Lynton, and at the top of the cliff railway to Lynmouth. The hotel is a little faded, but is undergoing improvement at present, which is good to see. Check-in was straightforward, and the staff were friendly and helpful, telling me about the history of the building. My room was relatively basic but very comfortable, with a good bed and a tremendous view of the sea. It made a great base from which to enjoy some coastal walking.
The walls between rooms are a little thin!
It was so centrally located.
Nothing really.
It’s an old property with all the features.
Rooms are a little bit dated but very clean and comfortable.
Comfortable bed, kind and helpful staff, good location, quiet, clean
You can see this was remodeled, but obviously didn't hire a designer. The rooms are really boring (white/yellow walls, no pictures/paintings, just very basic room). Which doesn't really matter for the comfort of the room, but just thought I would mention that.
Also super white light in the bedroom is not the most appealing!
Tolle Lage, genügend Parkmöglichkeiten, direkt angrenzend an die Stadtmitte und die Wanderwege,
großes Zimmer, bequemes Bett, tolles und sehr freundliches Personal, historisches Gebäude mit tollem Flair.
TV etwas veraltet, wenngleich kein Problem (Auflösung)
a old feel to the property lovely staff
nothing i didn’t like
Lynton is an absolutely stunning and beautiful place. The hotel is historic and still retains its charm, plus it boasts an ideal location. It is just a short walk from both the center and the historic cliff railway, making it the perfect base for exploring the town and the surrounding area. There is a small car park behind the hotel where you can leave your car overnight for a fee, which we took advantage of.
Great Staff, its an older hotel and hence the rooms are a bit old as well. We had two rooms and the windows of one of them would not open. I would recommend the hotel for sure, but small tweaks can make it even better.
Position and looks
No bar
Super Lage, nettes Personal, gutes Preis-Leistungsangebot. Wir sind auf dem SWCP am Wandern, würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
Zimmer etwas warm, ohne AC. Aber das Personal sehr zuvorkommend, durften das Zimmer kostenlos zu einem kühleren wechseln.
old world charm
fire doors
Loved the area as everything nearby and in walkable distance.. Spacious car park with a very friendly and helpful staff who not only checked us in early, but also upgraded to double bed for free!
