The breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely
The room we had was clean however the bathroom was not very clean the shower was tiny and the cubicle was broken
Excellent breakfast, warm and clean room, good location.
Good location
Dirty, uncomfortable bed, no money spent in years, heating would not turn off, would never stay again
Location
Filthy dirty. Room allocated was not the room booked. Mould above window. Medication found on the floor next to the bed, reported to manager who did nothing about it. Left at 5am in the morning and did not stay the second night due to hygiene issues.
Everyone loved dogs
Breakfast , tea in erns, no mushrooms at breakfast only scrabbled egg, bacon, sausage toast which was limiting
Location excellent
Staff excellent
Room a bit outdated and no view
The hotel was very inexpensive..just before new year. We did not know what expect. But we were highly delighted. The room was large and overlooked the sea. The bathroom had a bath! It was in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you.
The hotel is abit tired and needs decoration.
The staff were rude the room was not very nice also shower didn’t work
Nice big spacious room
Broken window lock.
Room was warm, clean and tidy. View over back of hotel not great but wasn't there for that view. Location was great just 5 minute walk from centre of town.
For what I wanted, and what I paid there was nothing to dislike.
The Location was great and there was free parking out the front
The room wasn’t as advertised. We booked the twin room with sea view . Please see attached photos . The bathroom was dated , basic and the shower hardly worked. The water literally trickled out. We was on top floor and there was a terrible smell of damp in the corridor.
Location was great
Very dated. Room was filthy. cobwebs everywhere, floor not vacuumed, bathroom was grubby.
I am so lucky to have found this English seaside gem. The location was ideal, a very short walk into town and with a beautiful beach a short walking distance away. The room was clean, with a great seaside view, the bathroom in a very good condition, towels and sheets clean and the mattress comfortable.
The guests were all very quiet and there was also entertainment twice a week, singer Keri was brilliant and provided a good at atmosphere.
Staff were particularly helpful and lovely and very very attentive.
When I needed a fresh towel, milk sachets for my tea, staff were quick to provide.
I made the best choice and I was glad I ignored the other reviews, which were petty.
I felt secure and looked after and am leaving happy and also a bit sad but knowing I will return.
For a solo traveller I find it important that these kind of hotels still exist when everything seems to be AirbnB these days.
I can't think of anything.
