Location was fab.
Photos of rooms are deceptive and not representative of what you get. Very disappointing as if they showed the true pictures of the rooms, I wouldn’t have booked.
I didnt like anything about the hotel apart from the lady on reception was very helpful and nice
The cooked breakfast was nonexistent the coffee machine was broken and there was no jam or orange juice only toast and cereal
The shower trickles out and the room was so dated and dirty
Location of the hotel is fantastic. Got a good last minute price during the peak summer season.
There was a big hole in the bath towel. Not that it mattered hugely but housekeeping need to be more meticulous
The location is the only positive about this hotel but unfortunately as we found the condition and cleanliness below what would even be of a basic standard, we didn't stay there.
Damp mouldy room with wallpaper hanging off, water marks running down the walls, grot and filth everywhere, sticky light switches, mould around windows, hole in wall, marked bedsheets. It was unsuitable to stay in - despite peak season and nowhere planned as an alternative we had to hand the keys back as it was completely unsuitable even on a basic level. I asked reluctantly to try a different room but was told there was no alternative as they were fully booked. I am now trying to secure a refund.
N/A
The photos when we booked were completely different and falsely advertised the hotel rooms. Our room had stained carpets, dirty windows and no view. The staff were very unwelcoming when we first arrived (after driving 4 hours) and being told on arrival that check in wasn’t until 4pm when my email said 3pm. They said it was a new system and did not apologise or seem like they cared. They then asked if we had parking, which I then said online it said no parking was available so we paid £30 to pay for two days when we could’ve got parking. I am heavily pregnant so the parking outside the hotel would’ve been a huge relief but we were just spoken to sarcastically and without care. We came to St Ives for a ‘baby moon’ but we regret coming to this hotel. Far too overpriced for the room we received and the service we were given.
lovely view from the window
the room was very hot in the sunny weather
Really good cooked breakfast, with a lovely sea view and I got help getting my pram and luggage up the stairs, we left a teddy bear behind and the hotel kept it for us and we arranged a courier to collect it and send it back.
There wasn't a mini fridge in the room and I had bought some food that I needed to keep cool, but I should have checked the facilities more closely before doing that.
The room was stifling in the heat, we were given broken fans that had no effect.
La vista sul mare dalla camera
Lo staff poco cortese e non disponibile
Only the location
No atmosphere, even though it was fully booked everyone stayed away from the hotel as it was so bad. It’s so run down, carpets absolutely filthy, stains on walls and ceilings, no entertainment, bar drinks cheap and awful. It as so dirty we didn’t risk eating here. Rooms run down, dirty and so hot you couldn’t sleep, mould in windows. Shower was a trickle - we had to leave at 5.45am due to being so hot in the room and itchy in the bed. I know some people moan for the sake of it and you can take some reviews with a pinch of salt - but it honestly is bad. Feel sorry for anyone with disabilities as part of the hotel internally is there is no lift. It’s like being in a tacky time warp 😳😳
Beliggenheten var sentralt med ca 300 meter til sentrum og jernbanestasjonen
Rommet var en badstu. Her hadde det vært en fordel med AC. en liten vifte gjorde ikke jobben
The staff were sooo sooo friendly and lovely but the building is so old and ran down , there was all plaster over the food from the crumbling walls.
The building was falling apart, our shower was dirty and not powerful at all, the room was tiny for a double sea view room and all the carpets are all stained.
