- gute Lage
The location of the property was brilliant and we really liked the open bar space downstairs. It was ideal having the parking at the back of the hotel and that we were able to have our dog stay with us.
Nothing of the properties fault - but it was mid heatwave and the rooms on the top floor were like sweat boxes which made it difficult to stay in the room. They did provide a fan although it would’ve been much more tolerable with an air conditioning unit.
Location was great, cost was reasonable and room was a good size.
Quite dated- foisty smell on approach to the room. Room itself was incredibly hot. Fan in place but not very effective. No hot water and at one point it ran brown. We were above the bins and they got emptied very early in the morning. Some stains on the carpet.
Location across from the beach was great and the receptionist on arrival was really friendly
The hotel needs a lot of refurbishment. The rooms in the photos have been refurbished, sadly the room we stayed in did not look like this. The bathroom was very small, smelt and was in need of a good clean. The bedroom carpets were worn, the one small window barely opened and the room was incredibly hot. They had left a fan but as the window could not be opened it was so uncomfortable to sleep in
Housekeeping is not planned at all during your stay. You are given a piece of paper on arrival which explains you can ask for this and they will even bring things to your room! I asked for clean towels, loo roll and for our bin to be changed as it was full. The receptionist said she could give me towels and loo roll to take up, but if I bring the bin down she can change the bin bag?!!
Overall I was sad to leave St Ives but pleased to get home to our own beds and levels of cleaning. I think the different room options between rennovated and not should be shown on booking so you know what you are getting and can make a decision appropriate for you.
Love that’s it’s a short walk to everything was easy to get to and the staff where really friendly , breakfast was nice
The rooms where very tired , the curtains in our room
Had rips in the black out part so the sun come through every day and wasn’t that clean
The location of the property is great for the St Ives food and musical festival weekend .
The overall standard of facilities and cleanliness of the hotel is horrendous. The furniture and bathrooms haven’t been touched since opening and the floorboards make an insane amount of noise . Also sent to the incorrect room for us to only realise the key opens up every door in the hotel so a security risk too. Didn’t even stay the second night we had booked as it didn’t feel clean enough, safe enough or remotely at the standard of the price charged . Barring the location for festival weekend I wouldn’t recommend anything .
Perfect location, only 5 minutes from the town centre and very close to the train station.
The sea view was absolutely beautiful, and the sound of the waves at night and in the morning was spectacular.
Friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere
The building is a bit old and the rooms could use some repainting but they said renovations are underway.
The window was not clean.
good location
a bit tatty, needs some renovation
Direkt an der Straße
Sehr laut
Zimmer ist Mini
Nicht besonders sauber
The property had Lovely view of the sea
The property needs updating.
The wallpaper was coming off the wall in the bedroom. The room wasn’t a good room. At 01.55 my partner woke up with water sprinkling on him from the ceiling. We believe it was from the roof as they was heavy rain.
When telling the lady on reception she just apologised and nothing else was said!!!
My number one is the amazing view and the staff very helpful, the accommodation spacious and clean
The location would have been good.
The first room had stained toilet seat, cushions and runner on bed, walls and carpet was patchy. The secound room wasn’t a lot better and had live carpet bugs eating the carpet - the carpet had various patches where it had been eaten away. After having a very stressful few months and driving 4.5 hours we just wanted some R and R this would not be achieved here for us so we chose not to stay.
