Pros:

Die wunderschöne Aussicht auf Portminster Beach.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Teppiche sind teilweise sehr fleckig.
Das Fenster in meinem Zimmer war nicht zu schließen und es gab nur kaltes Wasser zum Duschen. Am 2.Tag ging das Wasser in der Dusche gar nicht an.
Das Wasser aus dem Hahn war kein Trinkwasser.
Man wurde aber mit genügend Wasserflaschen versorgt.

Pros:

Okl but servicepoor if you weren't on a coach patty

It was okay.
Pros:

Very close to the beach

Cons:

All this time I thought that breakfast is included with my booking but when we got there they asked us to pay £15 each for the breakfast. The booking confirmation and the messages I have received are saying that breakfast starts at 7:30am, so I thought it’s already included in the booking.

Was ok , going again in October but different hotel this time
Pros:

Convenient to front and shops

Cons:

Had to find my own room wasn’t shown where to go by staff , got lost as was a fair walk ended up on the wrong floor lost , after a 5 hour drive wasn’t the best experience for me

The proximity to the beach and the city centre. Most of the staff was friendly.

Cons:

Two members of staff were not that friendly or helpful but i actually saw that interact with each other and I could see thats how they are. The room was nice but was not clean while I was there for 3 nights. In other circumstances I wouldn't say anything but I was going to the beach (this was the whole reason for booking it on that location) so the shower box was understandably full of sand.

Good Hotel in a Good Location
Pros:

I liked big room.l and the sea view from room 1.

Cons:

I thought the carpets were ropy and had too many traffic marks on them. Bare floors would be better in future, otherwise clean them.

מיקום טוב. קרוב לתחנת רכבת..ארוחת בוקר סבירה והוגנת ,בסטנדרט אנגלי. יש שפע.

Cons:

המלון מרופט..השטיחים בכל המלון מלוכלכים מוכתמים ובלויים..אצלי בחדר הקיר היה מלוכלך,השטיח מרופט,אבל הטענה העיקרית ריח רע. לא יודע להסביר אותו..ממש ריח רע שלא התפוגג למרות שהייתי כל השהות עם חלון פתוח והונטה של המקלחת.

Beds good and comfy, view excellent, toilet and sink work.

Cons:

Every floorboard creaks, window had huge crack, window had very little outside window frame (!), shower operation remains a mystery and entirely independent of any controls we touched! Communal carpets stained and worn. Lift worked better than expected!
It did the job, the beds were comfy and we were only staying for one night so coped without the shower.
It all added to memories of the weekend and gave us some laughs!

Heartbroken to have come to beautiful to St Ives and find out one booked the hotel from Hell.

The filth , the hole in the ceiling, the water stained wall in my room (311)
Filthy carpets throughout.
Contaminated water. Was advised not to clean teeth using tap water. And advised not to boil kettle with tap water.
Shower had no power, very weak.

Convenient and comfortable with old charm
Pros:

We chose this hotel as it was budget-friendly and ideally situated close to the train station and the town, so my elderly father didn't have too far to walk. Our room was clean and we have everything we needed including half decent tea, and plant milk when asked for. The view overlooking Porthminster beach and beyond to Godrevy lighthouse was wonderful.

Cons:

Vegan breakfast offerings and softer pillows would have been a plus
