Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%

To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won't be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA).

Good ocean place for short stay, great restaurant
Pros:

VERY close to the beach, just outside of the main city. Didn't east breakfast, just the boxes - these were very tasty and practical. Possibility to make tea or coffee 24h.
VERY good restaurant - we ate the dinner there and it was literally the best food we ate during 3 weeks in Chile. If you stay there - definitely go to the restaurant.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit worn down - its okay now but in a year it will require a renovation. Especially the bathroom would need refreshing - I appreciate wood in rooms, but as a shower floor it is simply not hygienic, and the shower faucet was broken. It worked - but should be refreshed.
The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. We stayed for just one night so it wasn't a big deal though.

Grande potenziale, ma necessita di miglioramento
Pros:

La vista sull’oceano è incredibile, soprattutto al tramonto. L’idea di avere un hotel sostenibile e attento alla connessione con la natura è molto bella. La colazione è buonissima, di qualità (non a buffet, ma preparata dal personale del’hotel) e il personale molto cordiale.

Cons:

La struttura ha evidenti esigenze di manutenzione. Essendo interamente in legno e affacciandosi sul mare, il legno sta marcendo in vari punti per via dell’aria salmastra. Inoltre abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel in un giorno di pioggia: le loro docce sono a cielo aperto e quindi senza soffitto, ma nel nostro caso pioveva mentre ci lavavamo; in alcune aree dell’hotel entrava l’acqua dal soffitto. Inoltre, avremmo dovuto soggiornare per due notti, ma una delle due è stata cancellata perché l’hotel è rimasto senza luce e senza servizi base a causa del maltempo. La cancellazione è avvenuta gratuitamente, ma trovare un hotel last minute ad Arica è stato molto difficile e ci ha causato qualche disagio.

Molto bello ma rumoroso
Pros:

La struttura è molto interessante, situata in una posizione privilegiata, apparentemente silenziosa

Cons:

Purtroppo si sentono i rumori e le chiacchiere degli altri ospiti. Inoltre dalle 4 alle 5 di mattina non è stato possibile dormire a causa di una forte musica che probabilmente proveniva dal parcheggio

Muy bella la vista de la habitación.

Cons:

No se encuentran preparados en caso de lluvia. Estuvimos 3 días con intermitencias de luz, pasando horas sin luz porque su generador estaba malo.

La vista, solo eso

Cons:

Sucio, las sábanas, el baño se salía el agua, y se acumulaba hasta casi rebalsar, no hacen la habitación después de las 12pm, sin desayuno buffet, y poca variedad del desayuno que te sirven, poca o nula cordialidad del personal que te atiende, el precio es demasiado en relación a la atención que te dan
