Exactly as expected. Loved being on Lake George, local restaurants, and other activities.
Pros:

The owners and the breakfast staff. They were all exceptional.

Overall disappointing due to amenities not properly functioning.
Pros:

We selected the property because of the jacuzzi suite, wine bar, breakfast and its gorgeous common area.
Upon our arrival we were “swooned” with information about acoustic music at night at the wine bar, and the fabulous ambiance of the place.

Cons:

Again, we chose the property because it had a jacuzzi suite, wine bar and breakfast. There was no hot water to fill the jacuzzi. One host turned up the hot water temperature on the building hot water heater, which did not solve the issue. The other host came to the room, experienced firsthand what we were reporting about the water,then came back to say he had called the plumber, but had comped us the night because the jacuzzi could not be used.
Next day, no plumber, still no hot water for the jacuzzi. We left for a day of shopping and dinner. We were planning on visiting the in house wine bar and sitting by the common room fireplace upon our return. We read that those amenities were open for overnight guests each night til 9 pm. Upon our return at 7pm, we found the common area empty, the wine bar closed and the fire place turned off. So, up to our room we went. My husband decided he would watch a ball game. He tried to get the tv to work. It only turned on and stayed fixed on the guide channel. We could not get it to play any other channels despite our attempts to follow the directions written on the screen. So, we called the host to ask if we were not doing something correctly. She was quick to remind us that we had been refunded for the night before, as if we were seeking something for the tv not working! Mind you, we never asked for a refund in the first place ! She went on to say she would have called Spectrum earlier, but it was too late now! Incredulous!!!!! The issues with the room were not of our doing. I could go on for two more pages, but you get the gist. Needless to say, we put our best effort forward to salvage our “romantic “ weekend, but will be hard pressed to stay here again.

A beautiful and comfortable stay among lovely people; it harkens back to a simpler time. So relaxing!
Pros:

Located in a lovely small town within an easy drive to both Lake George and Saratoga Springs. The inn is on a pretty spot. The rooms have been beautifully done to bring you back to a simpler time while still giving you the comforts of now. The staff and other guests were lovely and the evening wine bar hour is a nice way to get to meet some fellow travelers. Breakfast is a beautiful affair with homemade pastries and cooked to order egg, pancake or waffle meals. Pretty much any diet can be accommodated, I’d imagine.

Pros:

We have a wonderful stay at the inn. The breakfast was fantastic. We did not get to experience the wine bar or music as we stayed on an off night, but should we have wished for a beverage the owners were happy to accommodate. We would definitely stay again.

The Inn is a beautiful old building in a great location.
Pros:

Perfect location and very clean. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating.

Cons:

We weren’t able to adjust the AC and for me, it was a little warm. I did not reach out to the manager, however. My husband thought it was fine.
