Family Inn

Overall I must say this is a very nice m management is awful. I work in Sarasota so I hop from otel to hotel finding the best place available at the time. My first visit there was pleasant except for the fact that that their claim to offer free wifi only applies to the Siesta Inn side of the place. Cynthia argued with me that I was not putting in the password correctly. I showed her that I was indeed connected to their wifi but when I walked to the Family Inn side of the motel it wasn't in range and would automatically disconnect. She refused to believe that I knew what I was talking about and even walked with me and when she saw it disconnect she said it was my phone. Anyone who knows about Wi-Fi knows how that works. I tried to explain to her but to no avail. She was willing to offer me another room on the Siesta Inn side where the Wi-Fi was in range. My second visit she put me back on the family inn side and again the Wi-Fi didnt work. This time she became very argumentative with me and said that I was trying to cause problems and she even accused me of taking pictures of her when I was just trying to show her that my Wi-Fi was disconnected she called me a liar and she argued me that that was trying to get a better room. She told me that I could get a room somewhere else or take the room without the Wi-Fi. Since I already ran my card with her I chose to stay the night there and went to my room for the night. So attempting to stay there a third time I was told that I was barred from being in the motel. I asked her why that was and she said that I was the one that caused problems and took pictures of her. I never took any pictures of her and I never complained other than about the Wi-Fi I always picked up my room and I checked out before check out time I have stayed in other hotels in that neighborhood and I've heard things about this lady from other guests who have stayed there before. She has zero people skills and she should be fired. The owners of this place seem to be very nice and my room was always very nice with upgrades throughout. Its too bad that they have someone greeting their guests with this poor excuse for service. I did absolutely nothing to be barred from this motel. When I asked her to show me my name on the list she simply said go! Go! Go! Its too bad because I really like the motel and their rates are usually the best in town but first impressions matter!

The price was as close to right as I could find on line, but as they say, you get whet you pay for. With a name like Family Inn I expected a small motel, but gee whiz. At check in access to reservations was unavailable. After we went to our room we found a bed that looked like one of Ringling's elephants has flopped on it, but the television worked. A move next door produced an acceptable bed but the television didn't work without a lot of coaxing. Wi-fi? Forget about it! Recently redone floors looked great. Bathroom showed signs of recent redo, but lacked outlets for hair dryer, shaver, etc. Bathroom door had hole punched in it. Wall behind front door busted through by inside knob. And on and on. Nice folks, though.

The room was dirty there were bugs every Where...they had no ice machine no laundry facility....and staff was rude...not a good place to stay

I was forced to stay at the Family Inn as a result of poor upkeep and planning on the part of the hotel across the street. That was a whole different review and not good. I paid $95 for one night for a double room at the last minute. The room was pretty shambolic. The shower did not drain, the toilet did not flush properly, the bed was not comfortable at all. Towels were in need of replacement as they were rough and threadbare. The manager was nice enough although the $10 key deposit should have told me what kind of place I was staying at. I guess for last minute at least I had a room. Would not stay there out of choice.

The worst

the door looked like it had been kicked in it was covered with paper. the window did not have a curtain, the room did not have a phone, towels,shampoo,or blow dryer. the fire alarn was not there the wires were all out, the ac would not turn off, no coffee maker. the mini fridge froze everything..nothing we ordered online to eat delivered there. under the bed looked like they haven't cleaned im months..tje staff was friendly and the beds were very comfortable. they knocked on the door to say we get 10$ off if we stay another night. it was definitely not worth $104 a night

The window in the shower would not close all the way. The window in the small room had tape all around it on the outside. The bathroom door would not close all the way and the front door you had to push on the really hard to lock it. They also tried to charge us a cleaning fee up front. They kept trying to charge us different fees. I finally told them I would only pay what I was quoted online and nothing more.. This is the worst place I ever stayed at.

I went to help my daughter move into her dorm and get set up. I stayed 6 days in the hotel. It was clean and the maid came every day with new towels. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. I had to ask for the WiFi password, but everything was as expected for the price and the location.

The room was clean, recently updated bathroom. Television with cable channels and WiFi. The manager was lovely and helpful and the maid came each day (while I was out) with fresh towels and removed trash.

Worst hotel I've been in my life ....... very expensive for the conditions presented to customers.

My experience was good. Very hospitable people, especially the wife of the owner. Breakfast and free wifi and a walk to the airport

this place is a dump it looks nothing like the pictures, i usually read the reviews and get an idea of the place, did not this time and paid for it. first i reserved what was supposed to be a non smoking room, this room smelled so bad of stale smoke the bedspread was full of burn marks, some guy came wondering around to 3-4 different rooms looking for his drug dealer another guy asked if i was looking for a girl for the night. it looks like they arew trying to fix the place up but it doesnt seem to be working. i usually don't expect much i knew i wasn't renting a room at the hilton but this place should be closed down i really cant think of anyplace else i've ever stayed that was this bad

ROOMS LOOK LIKE SOMETHING OUT IF HORROR MOVIE! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
