ESPECTACULAR, TODO FUE PERFECTO!! La atención del personal es exquisita, todos súper amables y atentos. El hotel es precioso, tiene dentro un pequeño museo, pastelería propia, una tienda de ropa y una biblioteca. Una maravilla. Las habitaciones grandes y muy limpias. Todo está cuidado hasta el mínimo detalle. La piscina muy agradable. El desayuno también muy bueno, con opciones de todo tipo. Un día lo tuvimos que pedir para llevar y tras elegir de qué tipo lo queríamos, nos pusieron unas cajas con el desayuno espectacular. Sin duda una estancia muy especial y maravillosa. LO RECOMIENDO 100%.

Room for improvement
Pros:

Nice decor, room was spacious and bed was really comfortable

Cons:

I think we were given one of the worst possible room locations. Our room was right next to an alley, which meant we couldn’t really open the curtains to let in daylight without people walking past being able to look directly inside.

Unfortunately, the noise was another major issue. Loud music was being played in the hallways from as early as 6 AM, and there seemed to be a loudspeaker positioned right next to our room. I had to ask the staff repeatedly to turn the volume down, which was extremely frustrating.

On our final day, there was also maintenance being carried out on the hot water pipes. The time for completion kept being pushed further and further into the evening, and by 7 PM we still had no hot water in our room. We were eventually offered a “more premium room” (the only premium thing was a window so the room had actual daylight) which we declined as it was our last night and it didn’t make sense to move rooms at that point. However, we did use the alternative room to shower.

Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential, but there are simply too many things that need to be improved. Better room allocation, noise management and communication around maintenance would make a huge difference to the guest experience.

Mooi hotel in koloniale stijl.
Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam.

Cons:

De ontbijtlocatie vonden we een beetje vreemd en het was voor een 5-sterrren hotel ook erg beperkt in keuze. Het leek alsof dit een tijdelijke oplossing was, terwijl er naar ons idee op het gelijkvloers een zeer mooie, grote ruimte beschikbaar is.

De raam naar het balkon sluit bijzonder slecht af, gezien je midden in de stad verblijft zorgt dat voor geluidsoverlast van de constant passerende scooters, moto's en auto's. Een goede nachtrust is dus zeker niet gegarandeerd.
Hierdoor kunnen er ook makkelijk gekko's in de kamer geraken, voor ons niet echt een probleem maar ik kan mij indenken dat sommige mensen zich hier niet goed bij voelen.
Met een kleine aanpassing aan het raam (beter afstellen en afdichtingstrips plaatsen) zou dit zo opgelost zijn.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly. When we left at midnight for a Mount Bromo tour they prepared an excellent boxed breakfast.

Cons:

However, our experience was somewhat hampered by the poor communication before arrival. We had asked several times for recommendations on tours to the surroundings through booking without getting any reply. When we contacted the hotel by email, our email address was forwarded to an unknown person who proposed very overpriced and unprofessionally structured and presented trips to Mount Bromo and the Tumpak Sewu waterfall, which made us feel rather uncomfortable. This should not have happened.
