Pros:

We'd asked for adjoining rooms as we were travelling with children but the only rooms were on a smoking floor, which smelt terrible.

The staff were nice and tried to be accommodating, but the hotel is the way it it.

Very professional. I appreciated how the front desk was helpful whenever I had questions.
Pros:

I enjoyed how we could get noodles at the breakfast buffet. I also thought that the room service was very nice, since I could ask for necessities such as more water bottles or more soap when I needed them. I got new towels and the room was organized while I was out. I appreciated the complimentary hotel slippers in the closet. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay.

Cons:

I honestly didn't have any complaints about my stay at all. The staff at the hotel all exhibited professional and friendly conduct and I had a very smooth stay at this hotel. I would stay here again if I were to come back to Chengdu and/or recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I think one suggestion I would have is for the front desk to tell guests about the safe in their rooms that they can use to lock things, but this isn't a dealbreaker for me since I found the closet pretty quickly.

Clean and Comfortable
Pros:

We had a basic room on the 11th floor and they included free breakfasts for the summer promotion. Breakfast had some western options and lots of Chinese options - was good. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean and nice. There is a laundry machine you can use for 15 rmb so we could wash some clothes - which is very nice. A little desk in the room for working on the computer, a mini fridge and free water bottles every day. No bathtub and no usb ports for charging devices. The check-in was easy and each time I have gone to the front desk there has been one person who speaks English. The location is fine, lots of construction on metro lines in the city, so crossing roads is odd right now - but we could get a Didi when we needed one, and its 200m from exit C1 of the metro stop Longzhuayan on line 7. You can buy a metro card at a convenience store in the city and use it if you will be here a while - otherwise, single use tickets can be bought at the station. We took a Didi to the panda center one morning, leaving the hotel at 6:30. The car cost about 80rmb and took only 30 minutes.

International standard, good location and value
Pros:

The primary reason for my wife and I to choose international chain hotels is that they usually impose non-smoking rule in non-smoking rooms. We were glad that we did get a true non-smoking rooms instead of a spray-treated room you may get from local hotels. Our room and bathroom are spacious and clean. I found the bathroom design very interesting: the bathroom door is also used as a shower door to give you more space to move around. This hotel is close to subway line 7. We took subways everyday to tourist attractions, which is convenient and efficient when travelling in a big city with population of 20-million. Breakfast is wonderful -- good blend of local Chinese food and traditional continental breakfast. However, refilling of empty dishes is not prompt (We had to ask the servers to do so in several occasions). Staff are very polite and professional. Since I spoke to them in Chinese, I do not know their English proficiency. Overall we greatly enjoyed our seven-day stay there. We will definitely stay in this hotel when we visit Chengdu next time.
