Much improved after a recent major refurbishment

Cons:

Although recently refurbished, some of the upstairs corridor areas need a little attention - a few bits of damaged paintwork on doorways could do with a touch-up

Nice stay, not my favourite room
Pros:

The rooms are pretty, although the floor is uneven. The shower is good but not the most powerful. The staff are wonderful, kind and considerate and welcoming. Included breakfast is good and the continental offerings are varied. Also plenty of sockets.

Cons:

I was in a room at the back, above the kitchen and the fans were noisy, especially when they were ventilated at the end of the night. Once this had been done, the room was full of the smell of the fryers and this didn't leave.

If I were to visit Buckingham again, I would definitely stay here.
Pros:

The room was large, clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, especially the coffee!

Cons:

I had dinner in the pub and it was...disappointing. But as this wasn't part of my original booking, I haven't taken it into consideration when rating my stay.

Nice friendly comfortable hotel for a brief stay
Pros:

Friendly and welcoming staff, good breakfast, very comfortable bed. Very central, and great location for visiting Stowe, which is just 5 minutes drive.

Cons:

Traffic noise - I had been warned about this by staff in email, but it was worse than I'd expected. The hotel is in narrow street by a mini-roundabout with constant queues of traffic from three converging roads. Would be unpleasant in summer with windows open. Rooms round the back would be fine.
Room was cold, heater was very small for the size of room, took a long time to warm up. Parking was limited and it's a pub, so finding a space lunchtimes and evenings was almost impossible.

Fantastic
Pros:

Breakfast was lovely staff were amazing and so very helpful and polite room was lovely fair size with a lovely bath wasn’t expecting so brilliant for the price thank you for making our stay so pleasurable highly recommend and would definitely stay again nothing was too much trouble absolutely fabulous had a wonderful time thank you

Excellent staff, great value for money
Pros:

The room was nice and large, good facilities and the staff were super friendly.

Cons:

Water pressure on the shower a little funky, off and on again but not a real problem. Some noise from the road but that was not the hotels fault, just someone trying to show off their new exhaust repeatedly late at night…

Had a very relaxing stay. Surpassed our expectations!
Pros:

Recently refurbished and loved the decor.
Bedroom was very comfortable and bar area cosy.

Pros:

Location, Room was clean and lovely.Bed very comfortable. Food was good, staff extremely helpful and polite.
Very good price for 1 night stay. Have stay on previous occasions and the level of service has always been excellent.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Too many stairs ( no indication when booking) 2 flights and no lift is not good.
Very gloomy room, useless lighting, not sufficient to read.
Restaurant- just awful. No service.. cold food.
The chips were disgusting.

Great for an overnight work stay in a great loaction.
Pros:

The room was lovely and on the whole was clean, there were a few bits of fluff etc. that were missed but on the whole was nice, bed was comfortable, the breakfast was very good and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Narrow stairs to the top landing to carry a work bag and a case
