A good place to stay at an affordable rate near the Iowa Events Center.
Pros:

It was an excellent location at a very affordable price. Nice to have a good place to stay close to the Iowa Events Center in a blizzard.

Cons:

From the reviews I read, I may have expected a little cleaner facility. We were in Room 106. It was just not as clean as I like. If the small things are not attended to that are noticeable, it always makes me a little leery about bigger things. For example there was dust on the grove around the base of the lamp, the control panel on the heat/air unit was not clean, the textured floor of the shower appeared to need cleaned better. Those were just a few small things I noticed in the area we used. Again, I am thankful for the affordable and convenient location.

I think the staff was nice. The pool was clean and warm. The regular pool. The breakfast man was really hard at work. He was pleasant. Checkout lady was so friendly super good vibe. Very clean room had a fridge, dishwasher ,sink ,even 2 burners, plates, and pans.. I was pretty shocked. it would be a great place to stay for a period of time..

Cons:

The only bad thing for me was breakfast itself, I just expected more. But what was there was great. Except the waffle mix. It was very watery and left the waffles so gummy and inedible.. That being said that was when breakfast got slammed and lobby was packed.. I also thought the bathroom in my room was tiny. And the shower head was weak in room 101.

It was so loud, my TV didnt work, my air was freezing, couldnt get room warm, it was soooo loud, the other tenants were extremely loud and banging and dropping and it sounded like someone upstairs was getting beat.

Pros:

The receptionist was the kindest, most friendly, and entirely helpful young woman I've ever had the pleasure of talking to! Incredibly impressed. The room was spacious and beautiful!

The staff was able to fulfill my special requests (picture of a turtle) and my wife was thrilled!

Cons:

The coffee maker was admittedly a bit dirty but that's about all we could possibly complain about
