Our favorite "2nd. home" while traveling.
Pros:

We so love to stay at your facility when we come to visit family. It's always special to be greeted by Claire as we come down for breakfast in the morning. She is so genuine and greets all as if they were her own family. She also puts out a great breakfast. Your entire staff serve us willingly and do their best to make our stay special. Thank you for keeping this motel up and running in Galesburg, Illinois. Hope it's available for years to come. Thank you for all you do to make us comfortable

Relaxing atmosphere
Pros:

Really enjoyed the stay. Comfy beds, awesome shower. Everything clean. Workers friendly and helpful. Great breakfast selection.

I would give an excellent rating except for reserved room mix up and double payment issues.
Pros:

Breakfast nice variety and was very good.

Cons:

They did not have the correct suite we reserved. Offered a different room, did not meet our accessible requirements; offered a second room when we went it was already occupied. Offered third room still not a suite but was accessible and to comp a night BUT they double charged us when room was already paid for. Still working to get resolved. Hotel did do a partial refund for double charge still working on remaining fees double charged. Booking.com did a great job.

Bedding needs updating
Pros:

Bedding needs refreshed
I’ve stayed at this property 50 or 60 times. This property is a beautiful facility but needs to update mattresses in their rooms. After developing back pain and sciatica related to aged mattresses losing their cushioning. I’ve instructed my employer to transfer future stays to another property (Fairfield Inn) where coworker’s tell me the beds are great. Front desk clerk told me other guests have made similar complaints.

We enjoyed our stay and it was our first time in Galesburg.
Pros:

The staff were amazing and very friendly and helpful when it came to finding places to eat and getting extra blankets and pillows.

Cons:

The shower was a little old and had spots of chipped paint or something but it was still fairly clean. Didn't make the stay bad or anything

Was nice and would recommend staying to others.
Pros:

Breakfast was good the ladies serving the breakfast were excellent, friendly, professional and personable.

Cons:

The pillows were way too soft, there were doors that could we heard and felt shake the walls slamming through the night. We were in bed by 9:00, so that may be early to some but the doors closing so hard was excessive. The price seems a little high for Galesburg.

All in all, my stay was fine.
Pros:

Breakfast and coffee quite good. Breakfast staff was quite good.

Cons:

Front desk person was more interested in dissing the third party reservation company than helping to solve the problem that the third party (Booking.com) caused. Because on information failure through third party it took too much time and too much frustration to hook up to internet.

Some of the light switches (there are many) were a little tough to figure out.

Pros:

Although the exterior and lobby look updated and fresh the rooms need some attention. My room had a bad odor and the carpet had stains all over it. I’m guessing that contributes to the odor. The pillows also should be replaced with ones that are clean and don’t smell of body odor. Not sure I would stay here again.
