16 Bay View

Wonderful experience at 16 Bayview - highly recommend. We had a bit of cold/rainy weekend so the fireplace in room and cozy sheets made it an amazing relaxing vacation. All the linens/towels were so nice. Staff was super helpful and kind.

My wife and I stayed there for three nights and had a wonderful overall experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff, who made us feel right at home.
We had reserved a King Ocean View room on the third floor; however, the room initially assigned to us did not quite meet our expectations. We spoke with the shift manager, Denise, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout the entire process. She promptly moved us to a Deluxe King room on the first floor for the night, and the following day arranged for us to move into another Ocean View room on the third floor, which was significantly better and much more in line with what we had hoped for. Her excellent customer service truly made a difference in our stay.
The hotel itself is charming and full of character, with a perfect location right in the heart of Camden, making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and the harbor. While some of the rooms and furnishings could use a little updating and TLC, the warmth, atmosphere, and outstanding staff more than make up for it.
Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed during our visit, which was a bit disappointing, but we still thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the cozy Vintage Room, where breakfast and dinner are served. The ambiance there was inviting and relaxing, and we were even lucky enough to enjoy live music on our first evening, which made the experience even more memorable.
Overall, despite a small issue with our original room, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend 16 Bay View to anyone visiting Camden, Maine. The staff’s genuine hospitality and willingness to ensure guests are happy truly set this hotel apart.

Beautiful property and excellent friendly staff. The room couldn’t have been nicer. The property is tucked away just off the Main Street. Very luxurious room. I would highly recommend staying here.

The staff at 18 Bay View made the difference between ordinary and excellent. From the front desk to house keeping and everything in between, each person we met made us feel welcome and comfortable. Location is convenient and Camden Maine is just gorgeous.

Bathroom was okay. Large. Nice hot water. Tile was strange. Overall it was better than average. The breakfast was nice. The front desk was very nice. The people who worked at the hotel were quite nice too.

Room beautiful!

We stayed two nights at 16 Bay View, and it was the nicest of our 9-day Maine trip. We had a street/city view king room on the third floor. (There’s an elevator.) The room was beautifully appointed with a walk in rain shower and separate jetted tub that was perfect after a day on the road. The room had a balcony we didn’t really use, but we enjoyed the gas fireplace. Breakfast in the Vintage Room was hot and tasty with homemade pumpkin bread that was absolutely delicious. The rooftop bar was a nice spot for drinks before heading out to dinner. The only slight negative was that daily housekeeping is by request only. That wasn’t made clear at checkin. But it was a very minor point. Overall it was a terrific stay, and I’d go back!

Overall stay was great, both my wife and would love to come back some day.

A wonderful hotel. Great staff and very friendly. Every need was met, both for us and our service dog. Room was comfortable, great balcony. The bathroom was awesome! Now I need a shower and bathtub like our room.
