Touring the lakes on our motorcycle
Pros:

Well we picked this lovely Village pub/ hotel to stay in because the village has no shops and as a bonus this makes it lovely and quiet. When we arrived for our weeks stay using this as a base for touring around the lake District national park etc we were greeted with a warm smile and great welcoming staff. Our room was nice and cosy a good sized room and on the ground floor which suited us just perfectly. The food here is superb with plenty to choose from on the menu. Beckermet the village is a lovely little place to stay and it's great for getting out and about from the White Mare sits right in the middle of the village and seems to get a steady stream of people staying and enjoying the surrounding places to visit. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay especially as the weather was brilliant all week as well. We have already discussed returning for another stay sometime next year as we enjoyed it so much and we made good friends with the staff who were all brilliant. We will definitely stay again without a doubt so as we can see even more of Cumbria.

Pros:

A nice quiet retreat and food is excellent. Lots of places to go walking with scenic views. Room very comfortable and stylish. Staff are very welcoming and friendly.
