Hotel Palacio Muñatones was a little gem of a find. We were heading back to Ireland on the Bilbao - Rosslare ferry and needed a place close to the port and this hotel showed as the perfect place to say a big adios to Spain.
Pedro & his wife were personally very welcoming from the start, easy check in and room assignment. The hotel itself is a renovated old house, they've spared on nothing to bring it up to an international standard and the decor and furniture was excellent, every nook and cranny made us curious to look further. The room was excellent with comfortable bed and furniture. The en-suite was placial with a super power shower. We had a few nightcaps in the small lounge/bar, I highly recommend the house vino blanco!. We elected to skip the breakfast as we had an early departure but Pedro came our to see us off at the gate - Muchas Gracias! WILL stay again.

Cerca de la refinería Petronor y por la noche se escucha bastante y luego las gases huelen bastante y por el coste de la habitación yo podrían dar algo de desayuno aunque fuera un café con leche y un bollo

I was really pleased with the hotel, It is close to a refinery but that didn’t bother me.
Pros:

The bedroom and bathroom were excellent, clean and comfortable, including a smart tv. The bar downstairs was a great bonus.

Très bon accueil, les gérants et le personnel bienveillant et très accueillant. C'est la deuxième fois que nous venons et aucun regret bien au contraire. Le petit déjeuner très correct et à volonté. C'est avec un grand plaisir que nous reviendrons.

O Hotel surpreendeu pela positiva em relação ao interior. Para um hotel de uma estrela a decoração era moderna e bonita. Os quartos embora não muito grandes eram bonitos e confortáveis, a casa de banho era grande em especial o chuveiro. A limpeza estava ótima e os donos muito simpáticos e atenciosos. A localização é boa, a cerca de 15 min de Bilbao com acessos rápidos. Estacionamento privado.

Cons:

O pequeno almoço é simples e tem pouca variedade. A localização embora boa as vistas do hotel são para uma petrolífera e cheira um pouco a gasóleo no exterior. A internet estava muito fraca, não sei se é sempre assim ou se foi apenas na noite que lá ficamos. Achei um pouco caro mas como já começa a ser época alta não foi de admirar.
