Was very dated and rooms seriously need decorated and refurbished. Lampshade filthy, drafty window and carpet was so dirty and coming away from the wall.
Staff were very pleasant

Location 10/10 ✅✅✅
From the moment I arrived on 28th Jan 2026 the staff treated me and my dog very well, such lovely people that I came across employee in this hotel.
A shoutout to night porter Damien who is such a lovely gentlemen, warm heart with such a positive soul.
Very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my dog and I were catered for during breakfast, as I was isolated through in the bar for my morning meal (due to having the dog, which I had no problem with)
I was allocated a room on the third floor, the more you climbed the stairs the more outdated and abandoned the hotel decor looked.
My room was spacious, however the walls had 4 holes in walls which looked like cowboy builder’s just filled and left. Not been sanded down or painted. So the room just looked abandoned and messy.
Unfortunately my room is filled with very outdated and squeaky floorboards both in the main room and bathroom, I felt sorry for my neighbours next to me and the room below me.
The mattress on the bed needs replacing as you can feel every single spring.
I can’t speak for floor 1 and 2
I paid £50 for this room, and was disappointed. Didn’t expect that for value for money.
nice cosy room staff nice
Great value dog friendly hotel in superb location. Good breakfast. Had a good room with tower view. Stayed here about 20 times so must be worth staying here.
Satisfied with everything. Nit picking. The cold tab in the bathroom was loose. The TV remote control was near the end of its life.
Location
Outdated, poor breakfast
Love the hotel not to disabled friendly tight doors to lift and stairs but acceptable but some fantastic staff hard to change structure
