Minn Gee Resort Passikuda

Probléme dès l'arrivée avec aucune suite familiale de disponible que nous avions réservé pour 5 nuits. Nous avons constaté par la suite que le deuxième étage de l'hotel était en travaux, d'autre part ils font du surbooking et continu à vendre des suites qu'ils ne peuvent donner.
A la place nous avons eu une chambre de catégorie inférieur qui en soit était correcte mais ne correspondait pas à notre réservation, aucun service supplémentaire dans les chambres ( thé , café ....) et ni dans l'hotel d'ailleurs. ( pas de spa, pas de proposition de sortie ....) cela fait penser à un hotel fantome.
d'autre part nous avons eu la surprise d'avoir pour le 1er petit déjeuner servi à table et non un buffet. le 2ème jour , un buffet au petit déjeuner était accessible car un groupe était arrivé la veille . grace au groupe nous eu un buffet petit dej pendant 3 jours , le dernier jour : pas de buffet car pas assez de monde. et tout çà pour le même prix.
autrement le décor de l'hotel n'est pas désagréable mais manque cruellement de vie et de services annexes

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that our booked room was not available because that room was still under construction!!! It is noisy because of the works. The slowest and worst breakfast in Sri Lanka. After 1/2h, our tea was still not served.

Spectacular property. Stayed here for 2 days and totally cherished my stay here. Few pointers to consider:
- The front desk (Gayan and Praveen), the Housekeeping boys (Raja and two others) were extremely helpful;
- Large and beautiful pool with really clean water;
- Value for money considering the more expensive neighbouring properties (such as Amaya Beach Hotel);
- Large rooms, very comfortable stay, functional;
- Beach is walking distanve from the pool side;
- Food is really delicious (although a bit steepily priced);
- Scenic rooms, overlooking the poolside and the nearby beach/sea!
- We were told that the property came up just 6 months back. So everything is new. Plus really good value for me!

This hotel just opened so there are a few kinks to work out..
Positives were the staff, the room and the food
Negatives were the algie in the pool that they could not clean out, the beach in front having too much coral to walk out to swim. We had to walk 15 minutes to the other stretch of beach to find smooth sand in the water. It is not totally child proof yet which was a concern for us with our 2 yr old in tow. Also tv had no cable or international channels so everything was local SL stations. No wifi reached to the room so had to go out to common areas for reception.
They are trying hard to figure things out and think it will deserve its star rating ne day. The price was unbeatable so really was more hotel than we paid for...
