Could have been better
Pros:

Right on the beach, great swimming pool

Cons:

Staff just seem really miserable, we were a bit shocked at how miserable the staff were. We had dinner for 2, took an hour for the food to come out and when it did come out it was only my partners dinner that got served, mine had been forgotten. I sat and watched my partner eat her meal and then we decided to leave. We stayed in a room that was over £600 a night and we were shocked when we found out this didn’t even include a breakfast. On the last day we went by the pool and the lady who gave us the towels said “you’ve got until 1pm and then you need to leave” - no hello or good morning. The hotel has so much potential but it’s just the staffs attitude that ruin the experience.

Manager Needs Customer Service Training
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

The Manager and Customer Service Team.

Issue with our booking: the front desk didn’t pick up the phone, and after emailing the manager directly, I received no response for over a week. Terrible customer service, and a disappointing reminder that behind the sparkly social posts is a company projecting the aesthetic of hospitality without mastering the substance of it.

In the end, I booked The Gallivant in Camber Sands instead. Their team were warm, attentive, and genuinely delighted to have us. I’ve already rebooked for a girls’ trip. That’s what good hospitality looks like.

NICI is expanding quickly — multiple sites, growing brand, polished social presence. But you cannot scale a hospitality business on aesthetics alone. I’d urge leadership to look carefully at how customer relationships are being managed, because the gap between the Instagram image and the reality of dealing with management is significant.

Had we experienced good service, we likely would have returned repeatedly — as a family, for girls’ trips, and for romantic breaks across multiple sites. Sadly, we were let down from the very beginning.

Such a shame.

Could have been great. Liked the idea of the hotel and am sure it’s great in off season but too busy this weekend unfort
Pros:

It had a nice feel, kid friendly and great location. Staff were friendly and trying their best but couldn’t keep up with the amount of people there.

Cons:

Far too busy. We arrived in the afternoon and there wasn’t even space to lay our towels on the ground by the pool let alone being able to find a lounger. Pool was shoulder to shoulder with people and a murky yellow colour. The hotel had clearly let too many day guests in for the amount of people staying in the rooms. The car park was overpriced. Staff ‘lost’ one of our bags (it had been put behind reception at checkout but then inexplicably returned to the room).

Stunning and breathtaking !
Pros:

Everything. Couldn’t fault a single thing. The hotel is stunning it really does feel like you’re on a luxury holiday abroad. The ambience. The hospitality. Really friendly staff and helpful. They have a concierge and carpark. The beach is by the hotel. Spa and everything is within walking distance there’s so much to do and see just endless. The room with a view was breathtaking. Had such an amazing sleep and enjoyed the bathtub. The room service was great too. Will definitely be back again on Regular trips

Chic, buzz but well over priced!
Pros:

Stylish hotel with a chic Miami-inspired vibe. Great location right by the beach and only a short walk into the centre of Bournemouth.

The pool, outdoor bar and complimentary rum on arrival made it feel like a proper holiday. Great atmosphere throughout, especially at breakfast and lunch with live piano, DJ or saxophone music.

Coffee and food is nice.

Cons:

Parking was chaotic — we were turned away twice due to weddings and had to park down the road. £27 per day was excessive, and they even tried to double charge us within 24 hours.

Service charges were added to self-service drinks and buffet breakfast, which we only noticed at checkout. Food and drinks were also overpriced. We have stayed in luxary hotels all over the world and have never had this.

Rooms and lifts are tiny, and the hotel feels overcrowded, especially around the pool and dining areas. Despite the stylish vibe, it felt very commercial (not a guest just a number) and the surrounding area of Bournemouth was rougher than expected. (Where you have to park btw if they can’t fit you in the hotel car park).

Will not stay again. Not worth £560 a night.
Pros:

When there is sunshine the outside pool and facilities are great.

Cons:

Not worth anything near how much we paid per night. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The hallways never cleared of peoples food and drink from night before. Housekeeping didn’t bother to make beds. We booked to stay 2 nights so would expect the bed made for the second night. Would not recommend the hotel and definitely wouldn’t stay again. One of the receptionists was incredibly rude and manager Kirk handled everything terribly even the after care of replying to a complaint email was just ignored for weeks. They just did not care that I wasn’t happy and dismissed me.
