A wonderful stay with unforgettable Atlantic views and exceptional food
Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay at Beach Lodge. The staff were incredibly friendly and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed, with wonderful views of the Atlantic. There was something special about opening the curtains each morning to the powerful ocean, often shrouded in Swakopmund’s fog.

A huge unexpected bonus was The Wreck Restaurant. The food was outstanding, especially the fresh kingklip, with beautiful ocean views and impeccable service. Everything seemed to come effortlessly out of the kitchen and looked amazing. I stayed only two nights but ate there both evenings because it was so good! There’s also a casual bistro for meals and drinks during the day.

Cons:

Nothing significant. Just be aware that Beach Lodge is outside central Swakopmund, so you’ll need to drive if you want to explore or eat in the centre. It wasn’t an issue for me, particularly with The Wreck Restaurant and the bistro right at the hotel.

Fantastischer Meerblick mit Lage direkt am Strand
Pros:

Da das Hotel nicht ausgebucht war, haben wir netterweise ein upgrade erhalten. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war traumhaft, das Zimmer war sehr groß und war gut ausgestattet.
Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen im hoteleigenen Restaurant war super, sehr lecker, toller Service und ebenfalls mit Meerblick.
Das inkludiert Frühstück war reichhaltig, es gab Eierspeisen nach Wahl und auch auf Unverträglichkeiten wurde Rücksicht genommen.
Da ein Ausflug sehr früh begann, bekamen wir ein "Lunchpaket".
Uns hat es gut gefallen, die Lage ist etwas weiter außerhalb vom Stadtzentrum, darauf kann man sich aber einstellen.

Pros:

Die Lage am Strand war großartig aber leider weit weg vom stadtzentrum. Zimmer groß, Bad sehr groß

Cons:

Das Frühstück war ordentlich, aber keine Besonderheit. Es hat lange gedauert, bis die Eier serviert wurden.
Ansonsten war das Buffet eher etwas einfach.

Beautiful hotel with a great restauarnt.
Pros:

Beautiful property with a beach and grassy lawn. Lovely views from most rooms. Very comfortable family rooms. Restaurant was really excellent with reasonable food and drink prices and they delivered excellent service even when handling several large group tables at one time. You do need to reserve dining even if you are a hotel guest because it is a popular restaurant. The hotel also has secure parking.

Cons:

Hotel is a bit out of town; too far to walk to dinner there. Taxi prices from the hotel for a very short taxi ride into town were excessively high. The hotel web site is cumbersome to use and it is difficult to find basic information, including details about the various room configurations. Insufficient information about the restaurant.

Pros:

The family room was spread over two floors, effectively giving us a separate room from the kids. The receptionist was very helpful, booking a taxi on our behalf and answering our questions. The Wreck restaurant is excellent in the evening, and provides solid breakfasts in the morning.

Cons:

The upstairs room had a double shower (fine) but one of the showers had a full length viewing window into the bedroom. also, the bathroom opens into the room without a door. In short, the upstairs bathroom is effectively open plan, which is odd.

Pros:

Very clean. The rooms are large. Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Very good breakfast. The restaurant comes in handy too. The malls are close by if you wanna try different eating spots.

Great ocean views and comfortable stay
Pros:

We really enjoyed our time at Beach Lodge. The room were bright and filled with natural light, featuring comfortable beds that made for a restful stay.

Spectacular ocean views are definitely the highlight. Waking up to the sound and sight of the Atlantic was wonderful.

The staff were helpful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and being right on the water made it a lovely spot to unwind in Swakopmund.
