Price was good, staff was good, polite & helpful,
This hotel is in a wonderful location, old fashioned but lovely.
Lovely location, views are spectacular.
Can't think of anything.
The views from room, restaurant and lounges are spectacular. Our room (1) was spacious and had separate access to garden and overall we were delighted. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful at dinner and breakfast
The BIG issue is the bed which was the most uncomfortable we have tried to sleep in and certainly not worthy of a Superior room.
It's a lovely old hotel with the best setting ever.
Nothing not to like.
The view
The dated room, no open windows and the lack of communication from the hotel.
It’s position
Nothing
The staff and location
Rooms all needing upgraded very tired looking and in our first room window was screwed shut so couldnt open it dont know if thats allowed or not
Location was stunning. Front of house staff were amazing, the young lady on reception when we arrived was very professional and welcoming.
Room was dated and could do with updating. Window in room was screwed shut so couldn't open for ventilation. Not the cleanest room on arrival either.
The location stunning view looking down at the harbour
At breakfast we were told no bread they hadn’t defrosted enough. No manager to be seen
Very helpful and friendly receptionist when we checked in on Friday afternoon. Nice room with a view over the village and harbour. Hotel is in a great location overlooking the village.
Breakfast on Saturday was a bit disappointing as when we arrived around 9:30 there wasn't much cooked items available and had to request cups and spoons. Sunday was even worse, no bread available for toasting, it hadn't been taken out of the freezer the previous night and constantly having to chase up the staff for items.
Breakfast was good
Spectacular views , unfortunately hard to see them because windows so dirty throughout hotel. Executive room bed frame the most uncomfortable, they need to ditch that. The staff were really friendly but everything is in dire need of a bit of tlc, a paint and renovation. Disappointing
Most things
Limited choice of Alcohol in the bar
We booked the superior sea view room. Even though it is an old hotel, it is being upgraded really nicely. Room and communal areas were spotless, lovely lounge area to sit in, stunning views and reception staff were so friendly and helpful, despite doing two and three jobs each. Was such a relaxing two night stay with beautiful coastal walks and easy access to harbour.
Restaurant was a bit clumsy - service a bit slow and not very coordinated and food was average ( not sure if this was due to the reduced all inclusive menu)
