We were mostly disappointed because without a car we we felt confined to the hotel.
Pros:

The pool and garden were nice. Also, lots of books available and games. Yoga and water aerobics classes classes were available.

Cons:

Food was mediocre and expensive. There were no decent options for restaurants nearby. Referencing the location, the nearby beach was completely deserted: no place to eat or drink, no chairs or umbrellas. The area catered to surfers and young party crowd. There were no decent, quiet restaurants within the range of several blocks and the hotel restaurant did not offer dinner. We had to take a taxi to a supermarket to purchase food for dinner and it was on the other side of the town. For younger persons it would be easier to get around but we are in our 80's so it was difficult for us to deal with the loud music from every bar and restaurant, lack of a restaurant with A/C, etc

Pros:

Me gustaron varias cosas del hotel, pero destacaría especialmente las siguientes tres:

1. El ambiente. Todos los martes, el dueño del hotel invita a todos los huéspedes a una cena acompañada de música, con la intención de crear un ambiente cercano y fomentar la comunicación entre los huéspedes. Me pareció una experiencia súper enriquecedora y una forma genial de conocer a otros viajeros.
2. El servicio. Todos los trabajadores son súper atentos y cercanos. Me gustaría destacar especialmente a Sara, de recepción, que nos trató de una manera increíblemente cercana y nos recomendó excursiones, planes y fiestas a las que ir. También a Gume, que trabaja en el turno de noche, y a Rosa y todo el equipo de cocina, ya que todos los platos que preparaban estaban riquísimos.
3. La ubicación. Está perfectamente ubicado, muy cerca tanto de la playa como de la calle principal, donde se concentran la mayoría de los restaurantes y tiendas. Esto hace que sea muy cómodo para moverse y disfrutar de todo lo que ofrece la zona.

Stay here when in Puerto Escondido!
Pros:

The location is next to the main street but still very calm and serene. There’s a nice pool available and you can eat at the restaurant in the morning until 3.30pm. They put an effort into keeping the room clean and tidy. The staff was also so friendly. Loved our stay at casamar suits and would recommend.

Cons:

The internet was really really bad in our room. (10)

We stayed 4 nights without a single complaint.
Pros:

This little hotel has everything you need. The rooms are well thought out and comfortable. The pool is great and they offer yoga and water aerobics. Restaurant is a good value.

L’emplacement est top

Cons:

La piscine « naturelle » a vite tourné du coup les 2 derniers jours impossible d’en profiter car l’eau était verte et trouble. Vraiment dommage surtout quand on a un enfant

Beautiful pool and gardens in the perfect location
Pros:

Beautiful grounds and pool facilities. Staff all really lovely and accommodating, we even got a room upgrade to be by the garden! Not super busy and great restaurant in site. Great location at the end of La Punta so wasn’t noisy at all at nights.

Cons:

Our original room Lily was above the laundry so would have been quite noisy so very grateful to be upgraded to a garden room.

Good location
Pros:

Very beautiful hotel, felt authentic. Short distance from the beach. Staff were lovely. Free yoga classes each morning were brilliant, really high quality with knowledgeable instructors. The food was good. The gardens by the pool gave it a very tranquil relaxed vibe.

Cons:

Unfortunately noisy neighbours and dogs barking at night. One of the rooms (palma) had weaker air con so took a long time to cool.

Family gathering in Paridise
Pros:

The Casamar suites was an exceptional hotel located right in the heart of La punta only one block from the ocean. Its a private oasis surrounded by a bustling night life. Everything you could ever want is right at your door step. My family of 17 were divided into 4 unique suites for our 2 week stay. . My immediate family of 7, 2 adults and 5 kids stayed in the Ninos suite which was a perfect fit for us. The cleaning staff were amazing and the suite was cleaned everyday except sunday. The pool was always cool and refreshing and the restaurant at casamar served delicious food at the best prices you can find in the area. Every morning we were spoiled with fresh coffee, free for all guests and served poolside from 6:30am until 11:00 am. You can tell the staff are well cared for by the owner and it shows in the pride that they take in caring for the Casamar property. Everything is clean and immaculate. There were no complaints by any of the 17 of us, young and old, we have all agreed that we would love to go back and stay again.
