Ekho Surf

The ONLY positive thing I can say about the hotel is that the beach it’s on is lovely. Everything else has been a significant disappointment. The rooms are so average (fridge not working. Then tv not working. Then internet not working). The bathrooms are old and dirty. They clean the rooms at 6pm when you’re trying to shower and get ready for dinnner. They don’t restock simple things like toilet paper or clean towels.
But worst of all, is the food. I’m talking seriously BAD food in the main restaurant. So bad that it became a running joke amongst the two other families we got friendly with while staying here.
This is a 2/3 star hotel masquerading as a 4-star hotel. Do yourself a favour and do your research - there are surely way better hotels in the area of a similar price.

We were here for the new year with family.. The resort is good.. They had wide variety of food options.. how ever few rooms had issue with door locks.. other wise the stay was good and pleasant.. the service was good and assisted us with everything required.. Aruni, Malisha and Kanchana were very helpful with the check in process..

Fantastic place staff top notch. Tuna Turner very good food . Very relaxing! Enjoyed every second! Special mention to Kanchana,Heshani who sorted me out with another room. Thank you all! Can not wait to return!

We stayed at Ekho Surf Bentota for two nights with our family and had a very pleasant experience. It’s a lovely beachfront hotel with direct access to a beautiful stretch of beach, which was perfect for relaxing walks and enjoying the sea.

The meals were very good, with plenty of choices to suit everyone in the family. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming - a special mention to Subhashini from the restaurant, who was especially kind and attentive.

The location is also very convenient. The hotel is close to Bentota train station and just an easy walk or a quick 1–2 minute tuk-tuk ride into town.

Overall, a comfortable, well-located hotel with friendly service. We would happily stay here again.

Great staff, very helpful and attentive. The massage and spa therapies were top class. Great hotel and rooms were very well air conditioned. The private beach is very secure and the food is phenomenal

Amazing beach. Food is good. Carvery station at dinner is amazing. Rooms are dated, need abit of upgrade. Gayan is helpful. Vihara is friendly and pleasant.

We had a good time at Ekho Surf. The rooms are beautiful with a great view of the ocean . Beach and pool access were so excellent and easy . We had great service from Kanchana and Maleesha at the front desk who were so helpful and kind .

We stayed in beach facing room and it literally was that. Very pleasant stay, awesome services! Vihara, Kanchana and Aruni were very helpful, polite and always there to guide us.

The location was wonderful and the personal was very helpful and front office Miss.Aruni and Kanchana are very nice. The rooms are big and we had a beautiful view. The atmosphere was very comfortable. The beach was one of the best.

Lovely place in a great location and friendly service. The rooms could use a bit of an upgrads. Food was lovely esp the sea food platter. Kanchana, Aruni, vihara were lovely!

We had a great time staying at Ekho Surf. The rooms are comfortable, the place is located right on the beach, and has TWO pools! Loved it.

Aruni and Kanchana and Vohara and the entire team went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay.

Definitely planning to return to Ekho Surf in the near future.

Property location is really good if you are looking for a beachfront. Very nice and kind hearted staff. We recommend this as a must say.

Look for Kanchana, Vihara, and Aruni

Amazing food, location and property. The property is on the beach and ideally located near the town. The rooms are spacious and clean. Aruni, vihaara and Shalika were great hosts and made our stay pleasant. Will visit again.
