We stayed 2 days at EKHO Surf and overall had a truly great experience. The view was beautiful, the room was very clean, and everything was well maintained. The food was excellent throughout our stay.

A special highlight was the restaurant experience. We would like to give a special thank you to S D Samara and Chamod Kariyawasam, who worked at the live kitchen. Both of them did an excellent job — very friendly, welcoming, and highly skilled.

They prepared fresh food right in front of us, and everything was incredibly tasty. We even requested a few custom dishes, and they handled it perfectly. Their talent and passion really stood out and made our dining experience memorable.

The buffet was also amazing, with a great variety of options to choose from.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and the staff truly made the difference. Highly recommended!

We also celebrated our son’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel restaurant staff went above and beyond to make it truly special. We would like to personally thank Illiyas, Subashini, Imalka, Tharindu, Sadaru, and Ridmi for their outstanding effort and kindness.

Subashini deserves a special mention as well — she is a talented photographer who beautifully captured our son’s birthday moments in a very unique way.

The food was great, and the overall service was outstanding. Housekeeping also did an amazing job, keeping the room spotless with great attention to detail.

Highly recommended — we will definitely be coming back!

Great location, right by the sea.
Rooms with a comfortable bed, desk, seating area, wardrobe and safe. Fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, and extra water free of charge.
Balcony with direct sea views.
Two Swimming pools, one of which is very large.
A long sandy beach is perfect for a stroll. You can go surfing practically on your doorstep.

Had a lovely 4 day vacation at Ekho Surf. The best and most memorable experience for us would be the hospitality of the staff specially Ghayan, Subhashni and Ravisha they were the sweetest and most helpful. Loved the iconic beach view from the room. The food is delicious. Will definitely come again.

It was short stay of one night to attend a wedding ceremony in the nearby Bentota Cinnamon hotel. As we entered, offered apple juice as welcome drinks. The rooms were very big, as it was fully occupied, the washroom need some cleaning up, immediately they had done it. The staffs were excellent and attentive. The following morning buffet, my goodness it were beyond our expectations. I ate all the western dishes as I'm a local man.
Cheaper when compared to nearest posh hotels.

Beautiful location and beachside resort with safe beach swimming, two pools and good options for dining. Close to shopping and experiences

Ekho Surf was excellent - it far exceeded our expectations. Our room beside a 52 m pool was the highlight. All the staff were extremely helpful and always smiling - you can tell that they are proud of their hotel and also their country. We loved the towel origami.
The hotel is ideally located half way between Colombo and Galle, which are easily reached by train, on a beautiful stretch of sand. There are plenty of shops and restaurants near by.
We stayed for 2 weeks on a B&B basis. The buffet breakfast was excellent, particularly the fresh fruit and Egg Hopper. Light lunches were taken at either Tuna Turner or Der Cafe within the hotel and then in the evening we used a variety restaurants just across the railway; our favourites were Tuna Tuna 33 and Happy Garden.

The hotel is fantastic and the staff is so kind and helpful. I strongly recommend that amazing hotel! Aruni front office vary helpful.

Location is one of the best we have been to in Sri Lanka. Beautiful beach, clean, friendly staff, nice rooms, good beds, a bit mutch mosquito bites during the night. This is something that can be better. The food is one of the best, but it’s still buffet. Not the best, and not the worst. Good value. The best is the location and the beach. You can promote the massage better, they do a good job.

The ONLY positive thing I can say about the hotel is that the beach it’s on is lovely. Everything else has been a significant disappointment. The rooms are so average (fridge not working. Then tv not working. Then internet not working). The bathrooms are old and dirty. They clean the rooms at 6pm when you’re trying to shower and get ready for dinnner. They don’t restock simple things like toilet paper or clean towels.
But worst of all, is the food. I’m talking seriously BAD food in the main restaurant. So bad that it became a running joke amongst the two other families we got friendly with while staying here.
This is a 2/3 star hotel masquerading as a 4-star hotel. Do yourself a favour and do your research - there are surely way better hotels in the area of a similar price.

We were here for the new year with family.. The resort is good.. They had wide variety of food options.. how ever few rooms had issue with door locks.. other wise the stay was good and pleasant.. the service was good and assisted us with everything required.. Aruni, Malisha and Kanchana were very helpful with the check in process..

We stayed at Ekho Surf Bentota for two nights with our family and had a very pleasant experience. It’s a lovely beachfront hotel with direct access to a beautiful stretch of beach, which was perfect for relaxing walks and enjoying the sea.

The meals were very good, with plenty of choices to suit everyone in the family. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming - a special mention to Subhashini from the restaurant, who was especially kind and attentive.

The location is also very convenient. The hotel is close to Bentota train station and just an easy walk or a quick 1–2 minute tuk-tuk ride into town.

Overall, a comfortable, well-located hotel with friendly service. We would happily stay here again.
