A Lovely Beachside Stay with Wonderful Hospitality and Thoughtful Service!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at EKHO Surf Bentota, and what really stood out was the hospitality and the effort the staff put into making our experience enjoyable.

A very special mention to Kanchana, who was absolutely excellent throughout our stay. Her attentiveness, warm personality, and willingness to assist with anything we needed truly made a difference. It’s always the people who make a hotel experience memorable, and Kanchana certainly did that for us.

We also appreciated the room upgrades we received, which gave us rooms on the top floor. It was a lovely gesture and added to our overall experience.

The hotel’s location is another big advantage, with the beach just a short distance away and easily accessible. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to enjoy the beach without having to travel anywhere.

The food was another highlight. Both breakfast and dinner offered a good variety of options, and the service was consistently pleasant. The freshly prepared hoppers at breakfast were absolutely amazing and definitely worth trying!

One of the most memorable moments of our stay was celebrating a birthday. The team went out of their way to help us arrange a cake and made it possible for us to celebrate early in the morning. We genuinely appreciated their flexibility and thoughtfulness in making that little celebration special for our family

Cons:

While the rooms were comfortable, housekeeping could pay a little more attention to detail, particularly in areas where dust tends to accumulate. A more thorough check of these spots would make a noticeable difference.

The property is also showing some signs of age, particularly in the bathrooms, where certain fixtures, including the showerheads, had visible signs of rust and wear. Some maintenance and refurbishment would certainly help bring the rooms up to the standard of the hospitality provided.

That said, these were relatively minor observations and did not take away from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

Pros:

We were welcomed by Kanchana Aruni and Amaya. Cold drinks on arrival. Quickly booked in and shown to our room. Magnificent room with direct access to pool. Big room with everything you need. Pool staff gardeners and restaurant staff all very friendly and helpful.

Pros:

Great room, amazing view of the beach and pool. The area and room was so clean. The buffet breakfast was incredible. The service was very good and the staff were there to help any time. The gym looked good but we never went in. Want to visit again and enjoy for a few days, lovely clean strip of beach. Was told best time to visit was in season but we like the quiteness. Defo recommend.

Cons:

The hotel was great, unfortunately we had some noisey neighbours who were shouting in the corridor but this was not the hotel's fault and if they had of carried on i would of contacted reception but it eventually stopped

Great Staff , Good Hotel
Pros:

Amazing front desk staff, they are very kind , helpful and super friendly… special thanks to Kanchana, Vinoli, Malissa and Sammani. We had our return flight late night from Colombo, they allowed us a late check out. A gesture much appreciated.

Cons:

The housekeeping has margin for improvement… we requested split twin beds, once they separated the beds, it was full of rubbish/ dirt below.

We really liked the friendly, helpful, and supportive staff. They were always willing to assist and handled our requests with understanding, especially regarding the baby cot during the rain. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of choices. We also appreciated the quick response when we informed them about the terrace door lock.

Cons:

The hotel building and some facilities are quite old and could benefit from renovation. The car park is also a little far from the hotel, which can be slightly inconvenient, especially when travelling with a small baby.
