2 nights Grand Hotel Nanaimo
Pros:

We had a pleasent 2 nights stay. The rooms are spacious and were very clean. We enjoyed our dinner as well. The staff is also very cooperative.

Cons:

It is an old building which is authentic but can use some repairations. On the bathroom floor there were light cracks on the floor. It would be nicer to fix it, for the overall look of the hotel room. The breakfast is only on weekends, not on weekdays. Rooms can't be booked inclusive breakfast. There are luckily some café/restaurants and a bakkery nearby but if the hotel can provide some discounts for breakfast at these café/ restaurants would be nice.

Nice place to stay but it’s going to be a $40 cab ride to the ferry terminal.
Pros:

It was clean and in a nice area

Cons:

Pillows are too small for the bed.
Property doesn’t allow pets but they have a plate on a piano at the entrance that says dogs are welcome. Huh?

Cons:

Unfortunately I had a room joining door. At 6 in the morning I could hear the neighbour coughing and hacking for almost 30 minutes. Those doors aren’t very soundproof. Wasn’t very pleasant when trying to sleep in.

A very nice hotel if you have a car.
Pros:

It’s a lovely hotel - very nice dining room and bar area. Room was comfortable.

Cons:

The location wasn’t terrific - there wasn’t really much nearby.
