Proximity to the subway system. Also liked the neighborhood, particularly the 24 hour 'food hall' next to the hotel. I would most certainly stay here again.

We stayed for three nights and were genuinely delighted with this hotel. I have mild claustrophobia and had asked in advance for rooms that were not too high up, while still allowing my family to enjoy a nice view. Although I didn't receive a reply, they had thoughtfully put all of us together on the 9th floor, which was absolutely perfect for us.
Our King and Queen rooms were very clean, quiet and pleasantly cool, with comfortable beds and no unpleasant or musty smell at all. The bathrooms were spotless and everything worked perfectly. We particularly appreciated the daily housekeeping, which we hadn't expected.
The rooms are very well equipped with a small fridge, coffee maker, TV, iron and ironing board. There is also a guest laundry with washing machines and dryers, which was incredibly useful during our trip. We also saw a fitness room, water dispenser, a small shop and a microwave downstairs.
The elevators were excellent, which mattered to me because of my claustrophobia. The location is extremely convenient, with subway and train connections only a few minutes away and a small supermarket next door.
Finally, the staff very kindly stored all our luggage after check-out, which made our last hours in New York much easier. We would definitely stay here again.
The only disappointment was the food from the hotel café on our first evening. We arrived late and were too tired to go out, and unfortunately the snack we had wasn't very good.
We later discovered that the little hotel shop had yoghurt and other options, as well as a microwave, which would probably have been a better choice.
This was really the only negative point of an otherwise excellent stay.
Service was exceptional. Location was great-close to subway.

In the room, the air conditioning was bringing in the smell of cannabis and stale cigarette smoke, which was very unpleasant.
The breakfast was a complete disaster. The poor staff member at the bar was overwhelmed because she had to handle the entire hotel’s breakfast service by herself.
