Sangthian Beach Resort

Panoramic room we booked was as described. Air con stopped working and was fixed in 10 mins.hotel is not easy to negotiate if you are unsteady on your feet .lots of steps .negatives about breakfast on here .it was absolutely fine some hot stuff omeletes fried eggs toast juice waffles and pancakes amongst a lot of other food .more than adequate for the island and the price you pay.staff are very attentive and friendly reception all good .it's rustic but charming .yes work is going on ,when would people like them to do it !!!!. It's an ongoing process to make it better.bar all good prices are reasonable and the lunch and evening food is good for what you pay .

Worst place in world miss sold a dream place is dirty mould damp in room dirty room bare wires in to shower.As you can see from photos place is not what place puts on internet

The panoramic view was superb bath tub on balcony bed comfy clean linen towels had to ask for coffee as they forgot it in room W alking to these rooms very tricky and quite dark at night . The restaurant they have was ok staff very pleasant had a burger it was sent back uncooked not much english food to choose greasy omelette not impressed plenty thai food if you like it no wine unless you want a bottle will come again but not here only because the restaurant us not great but they had music and a fire show which were excellent!

Nice hotel on a nice small beach. Building work going on while we were there. A great spot if you are looking for somewhere quiet.
Staff friendly enough.
We thought it geared more for domestic travellers rather than international travellers.

Horrible food !!! The only place on the island that seem to have live band, but the food was beyond terrible, and the staff was not the nicest ..

As for the resort it has a decent beach, but the whole point was the restaurant which was terribly disappointing

Lite slitet men badrummet renoverat, liten strand men klart o fint vatten. Allmänt talade man dålig engelska, restaurangen serverade bra mat. Kunde inte hjälpa oss med transfer vilket de flesta andra hotel gör. Musik varje kväll men slutade i tid så man stördes inte av den när man skulle sova. Mest Bangkokbor stannade på hotellet.

My family of 4 spent 6 nights here and absolutely loved it. Our rooms had amazing views of the ocean. Rooms are clean with a great air conditioner, fridge and coffee making facilities . Beach is beautiful with clear blue water and the resort offers free snorkelling gear and kayaks. Such a stunning and peaceful location. We ate here most evenings, service was excellent and food delicious. The young men that work here are all very friendly and nice. Lovely people who made us feel welcome! There are a few restaurants down the beach which were also nice for a change of environment. There was a fire show and singing every evening, which was fun and added to the atmosphere. However it always finished at 10 pm so we slept well. I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back.

Food was too spicy, even for 2 locals.Not great value..

There are numerous other venues to spend tour time and money on the island.

What a beautiful and peaceful stay in the most idyllic setting. With a range of luxury rooms and more modest cabins there is something within every price range, and all beautifully clean, air-conditioned and serviced by friendly accommodating staff. You wake up to the sound of tropical birds in the trees above, and clear warm waves gently lapping the soft white beach below. After breakfast served in the dappled shade, you can book a fishing or snorkelling trip from reception, and a boat will pick you up for a few hours exploring the magnificent underwater worlds around Ko Samet.
As the glorious blue sky fades to night, the leisurely live music starts up at the Sangthian bar with the backdrop of the tranquil evening sea. The range of delicious food and drink is brought to you by friendly attentive staff, and as you enjoy an exotic iced cocktail, the spectacular fire show starts up around you. Gloriously acrobatic young men fling fireballs into the darkness, twirl flaming hoops around themselves, and spin musical rings of light, concluding with a stunning display of an immense circle of dazzling light on the beach. The live music continues till late at the leisurely bar, or a short motorbike ride will take you to the colourful dancing nightlife of the many bars and restaurants on the island. Sangthian Beach Resort is a wonderful getaway full of authentic Thai hospitality and natural Ko Samet beauty and I can't wait to come back.

Two days ago, I went to relax at this place. I liked the atmosphere and privacy. Beach and resort The resort's food tastes good. There is music in the evening. The restaurant can sit and drink all day,the rooms look clean, and good service staff. I recommend it.

I stayed next to Sangthain Beach Resort with my family. Once we went for breakfast at 9:30 and we’re told they don’t serve food till 11am. The second time they didn’t have anything we wanted to order from the menu. They said it would take an hour to make a sandwich.
Every night they play music really loud. They’re the only place on the beach that do this. The bass is so loud that our bungalow was shaking. This goes on from around 6pm to 11pm. We could my get to sleep and my kids were really tired.
This beach would be really peaceful if it wasn’t for this resort.
They do have nice coffee though.

White sandy beach, blue water and cosy wooden bungalows on the slope... BUT the restaurant “Feel Good” served drinks in PLASTIC cups with PLASTIC lids and PLASTIC straws when serving the customers in the restaurant! I had to specifically ask for an ordinary glass every time buying a drink, which is a shame! There seem to be no awareness about the overall plastic problem.

A long weekend with friends in a sea view room.

The view was beautiful like in the pictures and very relaxing. But the sliding door was stuck, so repairs could be helpful. A bit of bad luck during our trip: since there was a loud high school group on site (20 teenagers), a bit disrespectful at times noise-wise (but they are kids, depends on your tolerance). Noise isolation was not great... But it's often the case these days.

For the beach itself, very lovely. Restaurant food was very decent according to my Thai friends (great seafood dishes), but as expected prices are island prices, so keep that it mind. It was nice though to have a drink and eat in the evening with a relaxing music in the background and then a live acoustic music bit.

However, the service is below 3 stars. The staff generally had a listless attitude and did not seem well trained. Perhaps it stems from the lady who is at reception, who seemed to be stressed out all the time and was not very good at answering questions, nor that friendly. Our last day, a cleaning staff asked us to leave our room for check-out. Since her tone was a bit abrupt, my friend told the reception. Friendly service is basic hospitality knowledge. The Restaurant staff guys did their job, but at times service was slow, as mentioned in other reviews. One or two of them were really great and kind to us for the full 3 days :)

In sum, 3/5 stars. The location and cadre of having a calmer beach area was great. Night activities were fun, good relaxing music and a fire show (a plus). A needs improvement would be the service. I also noticed that some of the staff were friendlier with the white tourists, which is a shame. But we'll leave it to the staff management to educate themselves about internalized racism. Hopefully one day that will change.

The beach here is beautiful and not very crowded. Quite rustic and chill. People are friendly at the hotel. Food is pretty good...except breakfast. Breakfast is pretty terrible. Rooms are basic. Also don’t stay in numbers 19 or 20. They are next to toilets so smell bad outside, they are dark and noisy at night with bar nearby and barking dog. There’s a fire show every night with “interesting” music (lyrics are questionable for your kids if you happen to be here with them). The owner sings every night and that’s nice. You can walk along path to other beach and restaurants. The path and trees beside have garbage all over so that’s sad...so many plastic water bottles.

Cool hotel next to a beautiful,remote beach. A lot of stairs to get to the room so maybe not the place for someone with trouble walking. The walk is worth it because of the stunning ocean view.

As usual on hotels the breakfast buffet contains a lot of meat and egg but I asked the staff for vegan food and they freshly cooked some for me. The Restaurant should get a vegan menu to make it easier for vegans to search for edible food among hundreds of meat dishes.

A minus from my side would be the one use plastic straws and bottles that they serve shakes in. As well the room is daily provided with toilet paper that is wrapped in plastic and new soap and stuff which is also covered in plastic. Oh yeah! One more thing, the shakes should be made out of real fruit and not syrup. (You could get some shakes fresh but everything should be fresh). This was just a couple of things that I value when at a hotel, to be able to relax.

Overall, a nice place to stay, it's not super luxury but it's perfect if your not expecting a luxury resort. I'll recommend people to go here!

We’ve arrived by speed boat because it was 5 of us including 2 children easy to reach! Beach was amazing suitable for everyone especially family with kids! Staff was offering to a bigger room for us straight away that was impressed. Fir the price come on if you want 5 stars hotel you have to pay more but for this price it was acceptable and included breakfast!Food was lovely ,it was come out like in the menu lovely taste but a little pricey. Staffs were friendly and helpful. View was amazing. At night good music but a little bit too loud when you need to have a conversation with your family or friends.

I really want my money back.. I booked and I paid , but I couldn't know how to go there! And I've tried alot to call them from my hotel they never answer! It ruined my short vacation..Donno what to do! Now i want my money back
