L’hôtel n’est pas directement vers le centre « touristique » mais il reste très bien placé à seulement 10mn en didi et vous avez vraiment un bon confort. Nous avons eu la chance d’être surclassé, la chambre était très grande et confortable. Le petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix (plus limité en sucrée qu’en salée). Nous avons en plus tester le buffet dîner du soir qui était très beau pr un prix plus que raisonnable (équivalent de 35 euros par personne). À l’accueil vous trouverez du personnel parlant un peu anglais et c’est très agréable.

This was my first stay at Sofitel Kunming and overall the experience was very pleasant. Although the hotel has been operating for some years and some facilities are not brand new, everything was very clean and well maintained, which did not affect the stay experience at all. Special thanks to Amy at the front desk for her warm and thoughtful service. She handled the check-in process efficiently and patiently, and was always quick to help with any requests. Her attentive service truly made the stay memorable. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, desserts, and fresh fruits. The food quality was great and there were plenty of choices. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money and the service left a strong impression on me.
Some of the facilities and room furnishings show signs of age and are not the newest compared to recently opened luxury hotels, but everything was kept clean and comfortable.

Breakfast is a spread of continental breakfast but it is mainly focused on chinese dishes. The egg station is quite hidden and requires poking and asking for it.
Lack of bidet, super inconvenient if you are used to one;
Everything was good, but my deposit has not been returned yet. Please check and process the refund as soon as possible.
Although the decor is a bit dated in today’s standard, the details, materials and efforts to deliver an exquisite hotel experience (marble shower room in a circular shape, curved wooden wall facade etc)are getting hard to see in today’s ROI prioritised world.
Room was comfortable and spacious. Great gym and spa area. Extensive buffet selection. Staff friendly and helpful. Location has easy to access metro.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at — we received an upgraded room and a lovely dinner lounge.
My stay was great. Room was clean. The view very pretty. breakfast was fresh and yummy. I would like to thank Amy and James at the front office who was giving wonderful service making my last night at Yunnan truly peaceful.
Room was big and comfortable. There were adequate amenities too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Metro station is also only 10 min walk away.

The breakfast is like local street food and local dishes for three stars local hotel , did not meet the standard of international four stars hotel breakfast standard . The waiters for breakfast do not seem to have proper training . I was leaded to a table and when I return with food , my table was taken by somebody else . Disgusting ! And I did not return to the restaurant for breakfast again during my entire staying
