A very pleasant stay
Pros:

It’s an exceptional experience checking in and staying at Sofitel Kunming. Front desk And bell boy services were superb and welcoming. All interactions with front desk staff and those at the Executive Lounge were so pleasant and delightful. Enquiries and requests were all met with great enthusiasm. Look forward to a continued happy stay in the next few days.

Outstanding Hospitality from Ning and Larmes at Sofitel Kunming

I had a truly wonderful stay at Sofitel Kunming. The hotel is elegant, comfortable, and offers a perfect blend of luxury and local culture. My room was spacious, well-maintained, and provided a beautiful view of the city.
What made my stay especially memorable was the outstanding service from the staff. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Ning and Larmes for their exceptional hospitality. They were professional, attentive, and always ready to assist with a warm smile.
I was particularly impressed that Ning could speak Thai, which made communication very easy and comfortable for me as a Thai guest. Her friendliness, patience, and willingness to help made me feel truly welcomed throughout my stay.
The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of international and local dishes, and the Executive Lounge provided a relaxing atmosphere with excellent service.
The hotel's location is also very convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Overall, my experience exceeded all expectations, and I highly recommend Sofitel Kunming to anyone visiting Kunming.
A special thank you to Ning and Larmes for making my stay so enjoyable and memorable. I look forward to returning to Sofitel Kunming in the future.

Simply superb. Style with substance.
Pros:

A stylish hotel backed up by substance (excellent service etc.) is always a pleasure to behold.
Thanks to Amy (reception) and Pony (concierge) and the rest of the team for their exceptional hospitality. Had the most comfortable sleep and mattress here in Sofitel in all of my 21-day trip in Yunnan, having stayed at Four Points, Pullman, IHG.
Breakfast is one of the most extensive I've had in a hotel of this category. An improvement for breakfast would be for the small pot noodle - to be fully cooked for better taste instead of have the guest add the condiments themselves.
Foodies who want recommendations, Pony is the person to ask. He lives in the area.
Would return to Sofitel Kunming.

L’hôtel n’est pas directement vers le centre « touristique » mais il reste très bien placé à seulement 10mn en didi et vous avez vraiment un bon confort. Nous avons eu la chance d’être surclassé, la chambre était très grande et confortable. Le petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix (plus limité en sucrée qu’en salée). Nous avons en plus tester le buffet dîner du soir qui était très beau pr un prix plus que raisonnable (équivalent de 35 euros par personne). À l’accueil vous trouverez du personnel parlant un peu anglais et c’est très agréable.

Warm and attentive service with an excellent breakfast made this a very enjoyable stay in Kunming.
Pros:

This was my first stay at Sofitel Kunming and overall the experience was very pleasant. Although the hotel has been operating for some years and some facilities are not brand new, everything was very clean and well maintained, which did not affect the stay experience at all. Special thanks to Amy at the front desk for her warm and thoughtful service. She handled the check-in process efficiently and patiently, and was always quick to help with any requests. Her attentive service truly made the stay memorable. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, desserts, and fresh fruits. The food quality was great and there were plenty of choices. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money and the service left a strong impression on me.

Cons:

Some of the facilities and room furnishings show signs of age and are not the newest compared to recently opened luxury hotels, but everything was kept clean and comfortable.

Comfortable stay in the heart of the city;
Pros:

Breakfast is a spread of continental breakfast but it is mainly focused on chinese dishes. The egg station is quite hidden and requires poking and asking for it.

Cons:

Lack of bidet, super inconvenient if you are used to one;
