Room is compact but has everything you need for a comfortable night. Good parking and staff are super attentive and helpful. Good hot breakfast.

The were generally very kind and hilarious. It was a comfortable. My only complaint was a funky smell coming from the shower.

Although there are no food options for the evening there is a snack and drinks machine in reception.

Some menus are available in reception but the hotel is happy for delivery of any type of food to be eaten in room and probably in reception on request if preferred

My room was basic but ample for a one night business stay and very clean. Bed very comfy and hotel is in a quiet area so little noise during the night

Staff very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast basic but as included in price good value and nicely presented.

The staff were very friendly and willing to converse.
The room was compact but okay for our one night stay. There is not much sorage except for a few hangers on a short rail - no drawers or wardrobes.The shower was surprisingly powerful, which is good.
Breakfast was included, continental or a basic cooked, your choice.
Also free on site parking is available, another plus.
The nearest pub is about 15minutes walk, not a problem for us.
Overall it was very good for the price.

Our initial room was busy to maybe a generator or something soon as we got in but called reception who said to come back downstairs and they changed to another room which was quieter on the same floor

A comfy cheap room option for a short stopover. The bed was really comfy. Bedding and towels were very clean and felt new. Staff attitude was excellent, very helpful. The toilet room was very small and the fan in the shower didn't appear to do anything, but it was a very cheap bed and breakfast to break up a longer journey. Town was within walking distance via a retail complex. There is a huge Tesco across the road. I was worried breakfast would be carbs only after reading the other reviews, but they also had sausages, eggs and beans. Definitely good for a short stopover.

Noisy. Smelt of marijuana, sticky floor, strong smell of urine, air conditioning smelt of burning and dirty footprints on the wall. Would not recommend staying here, even though the price is cheap.

Bed sheet dirty not good

We booked an overnight stop at the Cambridge hotel, on Saturday's very hot day. The room was on the second floor, but there was a lift. The room had a fresh smell and though fairly small, it had all the usual facilities - with the addition of a fridge. We were struck by how really clean it was. The bedding was good quality, and the the air-conditioning unit over the door was the best surprise - perfect for a hot, humid night!
We had breakfast in the morning, with freshly made scrambled eggs and sausages, as well as cereals and toast. The coffee machine made a good coffee too.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and booked a taxi for us to go into the town centre in the evening.
There was no bar or restaurant at the hotel but a huge choice just a short, cheap taxi ride away.
So we had a relaxing stay at the hotel.

Value for money

The rooms were out dated, sink disgusting and cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Room allocated to me was at side of hotel at back where there was a generator just outside which kept going off every 1/2 hour. So loud didn’t sleep a wink. My first and last stay wouldn’t recommend.

Was given keys to the room where it was already occupied. Booked online for 2 adults but system said 1 person. Had to prove that the booking was for 2.
