Basic comfortable hotel and good continental breakfast

The location was good and situated on a retail park with access to food and shops.
My expectations were low but this was beyond basic. The parking situation is ridiculous and is very limited. If you cannot get there before the small number of spaces are taken (those outside are for Subway which I didn't even see where the Subway was!) you have to go to the "overflow" carport by Costa/B&Q. There's absolutely no signage to say its parking for Ibis so I am still at a loss as to whether I parked in the right place or should expect a fine when I get home. The car park was hardly lit at the access route back to the hotel appeared to require scaling small fences in the dark. As a female alone, this was a really bad experience and I didn't feel safe, I was struggling with my luggage and then it rained just to add to it. When I got back into reception there was police there too! The bed was good but the room was very hot and it wasn't a particularly hot evening. I opened the window but it's so limited it didn't really help and there's no air conditioning. The shower is worse than the facilities you get in a ferry cabin with one of those shower heads fixed high up on the wall so you can't really rinse yourself.
Perfect overnight for the wightlink ferry. Parking not in site, but easy walk (don't leave anything valuable in it!) Comfortable bed, shower and toilet.
No kettle - I know it's budget, but a cup of tea would have been welcome 😞
Really well located for Fratton Park games ideal for away fans travelling from a far. Really comfortable bed and room although basic was lovely.
Price advertised outside was less than what I paid so would have been nice to give customers who book early a lower rate than advertised.

Good location but inadequate parking. Comfortable bed, glass shower door made you feel very exposed- especially with mirror opposite it!
Parking- only places near hotel were allocated to subway restaurant- strange as I would think most people staying would be ? Getting ferries and therefore would have cars!
Location great for what we needed. And so close to big Tesco and fast food eateries if pushed for time. Ten ish minute drive to the ferry which was what I needed. And looks very close to the train station. Staff were lovely and so helpful - a credit to this hotel.
Unfortunately for me the bed was so uncomfy and for my mum. We both woke up sore. But apart from this, for a budget hotel it was really good for the price
