Noisy and quirky but great breakfast.
Pros:

We stayed here last Friday night and when we arrived there was a computer malfunction which meant the room keys were inoperable. The staff were very apologetic and had to escort us individually to our rooms with a master key. This situation continued until around 8pm.
The room itself was quirky, a strange shape with a tiny bathroom, and a wardrobe made from two pieces of wood screwed to the wall. There was no plug socket on my side of the bed so an extension cable was provided which was totally bizarre.
The restaurant was noisy and uncomfortable due to the lack of soft furnishings but our meal was excellent.
We were woken during the night by music blaring from a nearby disco so I had to close the window.
The included breakfast next morning almost made up for the negative points, among the best hotel breakfasts I have ever eaten. As well as the cooked items, there were cold meats and cheese, crusty bread, pastries and so on.
Parking was free with my disabled badge.
On the whole I would stay here again provided it was not a weekend.

Basic but ideal for Fratton park
Pros:

Cheap and cheerful book well in advance and the rooms are a good stop over if you are going to the the games at Fratton park.
Otherwise don't bother rooms are small no A/c locks on windows to limit opening.
Each room has a double and a bunk bed above which is for the fit and athletic only!!
shower is in the room so no privacy
Great to watch Portsmouth FC but otherwise not much about in the area

Reasonable room but noisy and TV didn't work
Pros:

The room was bigger than we were expecting and pretty well laid out, separate shower and WC was a good idea. Also no issues parking, though there were few places at the hotel itself parking was free in the nearby car parks and only a very short walk away.
Unfortunately the room was very noisy, the main culprit apparently being the plumbing, when someone flushed a toilet above us it sounded like the ceiling was going to cave in. Also could not get any channels on the TV, was offered to change the room but we were only staying another day.
No tea & coffee in the room.

It’s a budget hotel. Very basic, very compact. Very clean . Staff very helpful, especially Tina .

It’s very basic, clean and good for an overnight stay. The room is very compact , the in room toilet and shower are in separate compartments .
It’s worth the stay, but we aware how basic it is. If you stay there. The staff are great. It’s clean. It’s affordable.

Pros:

Very welcoming lady on reception which made us feel valued. A lovely lady who recommended a good pub to us and put us on the ground floor as we have a dog.
The hotel is in a poor condition however and needs a major refurbishment. There was no lock on the toilet door- just a hole, the walls are pealing and it needs repainting. The carpets in the communal areas are not great.
Parking is limited but you can use a local retail park which was fine.
Ideal for the port.
