A lovely bijou apartment in the heart of the city
Pros:

The flat is in the centre of Chartres and so it was really easy to go for a meal and wander round the town and cathedral. Despite being tiny, the flat was beautiful equipped with everything needed, which made it a lovely place to stay. The arrangements for collecting the key were misleading on the website, with a defunct telephone number, but when I turned up the guy could not have been more helpful. He showed us where to park for free, just on the other side of the river, which was great. Tip: have a small overnight bag so you don't have to carry lots of luggage from the car to the apartment.

Pros:

Great appartment for a short visit to Chartres with a family. For the beds upstairs you need to be able to climb a ladder

Pros:

Väldigt trevlig liten studio, mycket bra läge. Enda nackdelen med just denna lägenhet var kanske att det var väldigt tuffa trappor att ta sig upp för, i synnerhet med tunga resväskor.
Kan varmt rekommendera denna bostad om man vill bo supercentralt i den gamla delen av Chartres.

deux jours au St Pierre "le Duplex"

pour visiter la charmante ville de Chartres, l'appartement le Duplex est extrément bien placé dans la vielle ville au pied de la cathédrale, bien aménagé, le seul soucis problème est de se garer les place de parking sont rares, et il manque un ventilateur ou une petite clim car sous les toits et par forte chaleur il fait trop chaud

Very convenient appartment
Pros:

The appartment was on the second floor in a largely pedestrian street. Very central location in the old part of town. Pleasant decor with all necessary facilities. It is at the top of an old building and a little snug. A tall person would find the shower tricky. The one additional feature that would have been useful would have been a fan. The mezzanine floor doesn't get much ventilation and when we stayed it was very hot (30 degrees plus until the sun went down). All in all, a very pleasant small appartment and excellent value.

The charm of old houses
Pros:

One-day stay to visit the cathedral and the old town. This hotel is not for you if you are used to regular hotel chains. It's more like someone rented you his flat; the owner seems to own flats in various parts of town. You have to love old houses to appreciate the place. Warning: no elevator! Overall, I liked this experience of "going local." And it's really close to the cathedral, which remains the main attraction.

Fine apartment in Chartres
Pros:

The apartment was small but comfortable. The parking space was very convenient. And only a 10 minute walk from the cathedral. Our hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.
