A very nice hotel with excellent staff and a very good breakfast as part of the room cost. I stayed for two nights and will definitely book this hotel again when I return to Mandalay.
Nice hotel for the money, carpets in hallways need replacing, hotel staff very friendly and helpful but hotel not near anything like restaurants, food in hotel hit and miss, Asian food good and they should just stick to that, why have club sandwich on menu when all you get is a cheese sandwich(what happened to the chicken, ham, bacon, egg?) even the ham and cheese sandwich only had Cheese, no ham? 3 attempts at making pizza, just take it off the menu, had family room which was nice and big and had big bath.
This hotel is on a street with constant a roar of traffic. The building has no soundproofing. We asked for a quieter room and were told there was nothing else.
Reception told us the restaurant was open until 10pm. When we went at 7:00 they were packing up and told us it was closed. There is not much close by. There are many better hotels in the city in the same price range.
Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Asia food in the restaurant is excellent (my wife is a food specialist) but western food like Pizza is not their forte but adequate. The only let down was the air-condition unit which broke down during our stay.
It was just one night after my tour of Myanmar before flying home, and filled all my needs.
Overall the hotel was average - the service was however good. The only problem was the room we stayed in must have been close to a generator or water pump so was making loud humming noises every 15 minutes. Would advice staying towards the front of the building. Although some of those rooms do not have any natural light as windows are blocked by the building next to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel is not near any good restaurants either.
The location is ideal as it's in the city n it's really value for the price I pay.strongly recommended for traveller stay in Mandalay for tour as the time spent in the hotel is Kiat for sleeping , shower n breakfast.
Good hotel, located in a quiet, local area, some restaurants around. We got a good deal on Expedia so the room was about £9 a night, which was definitely worth it. The staff are lovely, breakfast is really good, hot water is on and off and there were a fair few power cuts but what can you do about that! Reccomend this hotel.
Staff were friendly but are not very knowledgeable about what services tourists need. Tried to find a place to purchase air tickets and money changers but they didn't have any idea. Language can be a barrier. No food areas around. Very dusty and noisy street. Typical breakfast where items that have been cooked are not kept warm so consequently are cold. Egg station does provide fresh cooked eggs. Westerners like their food to be hot. We did have to leave early for home due to illness. Hotel was clean and AC worked fine. If you if to stay in Mandalay, I would suggest a hotel in a better location but this hotel is very cheap to stay at.
We had one night here as we were catching a flight the following morning. It was perfect. The hotel arranged for a taxi and the buffet breakfast was tasty. The room was clean and comfortable.
Good hotel with helpful, friendly staff. An excellent base for exploring the area.
I extended my stay a week before and rebooked for 2 nights after a week but with big differences found both in room facilities, cleanness, etc and the staffs of reception are not enthusiastic but unwilling to help even the basic info on the wifi password hasn't told until asked. the breakfast becomes worse and out of supply. I won't pick this hotel in the future again unless I want to check my luck.
Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff! Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The hotel is a bit dated, but well maintained. The included breakfast was delicious (egg station, plus fried rice, noodles, greens, salads, fruit, banana cake, toast, etc). Would definitely stay here again.
Good service on the staff.
The staff were friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful at all times. Not the best location for restaurants but for its cost you can't complain.
The hotel and its service deserved to pay more than the price I gave. staff are helpful and willing to help. It takes time to be trained to serve on efficiency and the supplied breakfast has room to improve on quality and quantity. The drain in the washroom is very bad, every time there is a flood on the floor and won't dried up in hours.
Amazing staff. Very friendly and helpful.
Mandalay, as a town is busy, chaotic, noisy, and I felt, without charm. The royal palace-right at the centre of things, is a straight road down from the hotel. It is a lovely sight, but now, an army garrison. I was informed by my taxi driver that visits cost 10,000 kyats per entry, for foreigners.
There are many attractions around: interesting - even lovely, pagodas, monastaries and stupas, if that is your interest, and the famous U Bein bridge.
I had stayed 2 days in this town, and then headed to Bagan in a boat, down the Irrawaddy, which was a fabulous experience in itself.
The hotel is conveniently located, and it was easy to get around with either motor cycle taxis or city taxis, even trishaws. My room was huge and the value for money is quite beyond belief, given that, generally, hotel rates for Myanmar are on the high side.
The staff are all extremely helpful, and I felt very pampered, and cared for. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.
