Beaches are not free in Italy …
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel on the Amalfi coast. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. It does seem to be a hotel aimed at couples rather than families. Our room wasn’t particularly modern but it was clean and had a balcony with a great view.

They do advertise that they have a ‘private beach’. Innocently I thought this was included in the room price. It is actually an additional 15 euros EACH per day (20 euros at weekend). Although this is cheap compared to other beach areas it’s rather a lot when you haven’t budgeted for it! There is a public/free beach area down by the ferry terminal. It’s a bit of a squash but perfectly fine for kids.

Restaurants are about a 15 minute walk into town, uphill. Buses don’t seem to run in the evenings - so if you have mobility/health concerns you need to take this into consideration.

Pros:

La chambre avec vue sur la mer, l'emplacement de l'hôtel.

Cons:

Salle de bains petite, pas de rangement prévu pour poser des affaires de toilette.
Murs avec des traces , besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement.
Sur 6 nuits passées, il y a eu 3 nuits avec des nuisances sonores car un club de plage proche de l'hôtel, organisait des soirées, donc musique très forte.
