Clean, comfortable & modern apartments with a great location.
Pros:

Really modern & very clean, everything you need in an apartment. The filtered water tap is brilliant & even provided washing up liquid & sponge etc. simple but very handy, saves you buying & being wasteful leaving it behind. Staff are helpful too. Food in pool bar is great.

Nothing - everything was great.

Pros:

Was very clean, and very well maintained. We were extremely lucky and in a block 1 apartment which was extremely handy and very quiet.

Cons:

My only concern is that if you were staying in the apartments that back onto the main road or in the lower blocks of block 2 and 3 that you would hear the noise from the bars on the strip as they’re very close to them bars.

Pros:

Everything about the Kontiki was amazing. The views from the apartment were incredible and the location was spot on. Beds were extremely comfortable and the grounds were spotless!

Its location was very good and rooms were well proportioned and furnished.

Cons:

Breakfast / restaurant was open to the public which meant lots of poolside “guests” where not hotel clients. Pool had a serious issue with algae at each end and little was done to fix it. Maids where selfishly loud on a morning - shouting to each other at 7.30am. Bar area closed at 8pm. Ie as charged €50 to use a room after we checked out of ours which was in the maintanence peoples area and had a bad smell of damp / moisture until AC was put on.

Fabulous
Pros:

The property is beautiful the pool area and chill out area are brilliant we had a room with a sea view which was lovely all of the staff were very polite and the attention too detail was brilliant too see from the ground staff bar staff receptionists everyone seemed tok work very hard

Cons:

Nothing not even put off by the property being up the infamously cardiac hill and myself and my partner have both had hip replacements

Happily return
Pros:

We stayed at R2 Bahía Kontiki for a week in one of the apartments and had a fantastic stay. The apartment was spotless, and housekeeping came every two days with fresh towels and a full clean.

All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and was very nice, with the option to have fresh omelettes or scrambled eggs made to order.

The pool was right outside our apartment door, which was very convenient, and the whole complex was quiet, peaceful, and well maintained. The location is excellent too – only a two-minute walk from the beach and a great selection of restaurants and bars.

The only downside was the hill on the walk back up, but that’s certainly not the hotel’s fault! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
