Anuruddha served an amazing authentic Sri Lankan buffet . The breads were very tasty and the desserts were so yummy. Great service too

This hotel is advertised as a 5-star property, but it does not meet that standard at all. Realistically, it would qualify as a 3-star hotel at best.

The bed linens and towels are old and worn out. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable — the metal springs are clearly noticeable and press into your back, making it very difficult to sleep. This is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to offer five-star comfort.

The room was not properly cleaned and had a very strong and unpleasant odor. At times, it smelled like urine, which is completely unacceptable in any hotel, especially one marketed as a 5-star property. Overall hygiene standards are far below what you would expect.

During rainfall, the ceilings are leaking. There was also insect infestation in the room, creating serious hygiene and safety concerns.

The food smelled so bad that we were unable to eat it.

The price-performance ratio is extremely poor. For a hotel advertised as 5 stars, this level of quality is deeply disappointing and unacceptable.

We cannot recommend this property.

This location is beautiful, with the hotel sitting on a lake. The view from my room, looking onto the lake, was stunning. Since the hotel is small, it was peaceful and conducive to enjoyment. All of the staff, including those at the front desk, dining room, bell boys and housekeeping, were exceptionally helpful and courteous. The food was acceptable even though, given that buffets were the norm, the same items seemed to be served at all times!

Ok hotel / resort but rather tired and in need of a refresh. The bathroom & rooms weren’t completely clean. Toilet seat was too small for the bowl, towels & pillow slips tatty and threads hanging,

King size bed made by using a double & single sheet, not a 4 star resort by any means.

Dinner & Breakfast ok but lacking, breads were terrible.

Excellent service, clean rooms and absolutely delicious food. Udeni and Jayasuriya were so kind and took such a good care of us during our stay. Beautiful atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The area around the lake is very peaceful and quiet. Also the hotel is close to Yala Nationalpark if you plan to go there.

Lovely location on Tissa Lake, not far from Yala National Park. Delicious food and cordial staff. Sachini was professional and courteous.

We stayed in 6 hotels in Sri Lanka and this was the best. Good food, beautiful views over the lake, clean and hospitable

My wife & I stayed here for 2 days and found the room to be clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and pleasant.. Restaurant staff were helpful and buffet spreads for breakfast and dinner was sufficient The environment was nice . It was a good idea to give all ladies a rose on Valentine night. We overall enjoyed our stay. Thanks

It was a pleasant stay. The property is good and the staff cordial. The room cleaning staff could have done better though. A special mention of the hotel manager Ms.Anji, she was really very helpful and warm.

I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. It was such a shame we were there for only one night. The food was sensational with a great variety of options, the staff were so welcoming and hospitable, especially Norah! It is a gate way to the local Yala safari and I would recommend taking a boat out of the lake to see the wildlife and stunning view! Ideally at sunrise (which I did) or sunset - just majestic. Hope you enjoy as much as me.

We had a great time in this hotel. Nice clean rooms and the environment. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is excellent. The Sri Lankan food is very tasty. Ever tasty food in Tissa area. Highly recommended for a holiday. Worth for money.

A fantastic place to go to for a safari trip. The rooms are great and there is a good variety of food in the buffet. The service was also good and the staff always attended to our needs. The location overlooks a lake, giving a beautiful atmosphere and view from the rooms. The rooms were very clean and there was no noise at night disturbing our sleep.
