Comfy bed, AMAZING location, worth a beach-front view room! I wish there was a restaurant on site, but awesome otherwise!

The friendliness of the staff is the highlight of the place

Emplacement idéal sur Venice beach. La vue sur la plage et Venice Beach est au rendez vous pour les chambres côté océan. Les chambres sont bien décorées avec une bonne literie, elles sont toutefois bien plus petites que ne le montrent les photos sur le site.

Clean rooms with a cool aesthetic. No significant noise from the locals. Staff was pleasant an helpful. Right on the beach.

Had a really nice stay at this hotel in August. Stayed for 8 nights. All the staff were so friendly and reaĺly helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, the view from our room was amazing!! relax vibe, very clean rooms, staff is wonderful. Noise level is high on the low floors. Don’t need a car walk to every thing. If you do have a car Valet is available and was easy to navigate.Everything you need for a beach day is provided, towels, umbrella and boogie boards. The hotel and rooms are truly unique. There is also a rooftop space available. This hotel has quickly become my go to when in LA. Highly recommend.

The most cleanest and dog friendly hotel ever. They had snacks, dog dishes for our service dog and a bed! The front desk people were very friendly, helpfulI and answered any questions you needed. It was a beautiful historic hotel. But up dated in many other ways in your room. No complaints!! This is the place to stay!!

Just had another great stay at the Venice V Hotel. Last week marked my 4th stay at this center-of-it-all, steps-from-the-sand gem. From easy parking just behind the building to the friendly customer-service oriented staff (who I've found frequently go above and beyond), the Venice V consistently offers up comfortable accomodations on the super-convenient boardwalk location from the moment you arrive. This hotel, hands down, has become my go-to destination when a beach escape is needed.
I've stayed in the Ocean Front 1 BR Suite (2x) and the Partial Ocean View Room (2x) -- in all cases, I felt the the rate(s) fairly reflected each rooms/suite's offerings/furnishings. Regardless of my accomodations, I've always appreciated the fridge, shower set up (pressure, soaps, and towels), and housekeeping services when needed. Access to a small ice machine is also something I find helpful.
If Venice Beach is the vibe you're after, the location itself can't be beat. Coffee and multiple food options just outside the door on a car-free part of the street. Access to the beach is literally outside the Venice V's front door. And, as someone who likes to take long hikes while visiting the area, the V's location right on the boardwalk provides easy, hassle-free access to various beach towns and miles of scenic walking.
One other thing I think is important to note: despite its location right on the very vibrant boardwalk, at night, I've never had an issue with noise from the street. In fact, quite the opposite -- I've always been surprised at how quiet the area is at night.
I'll actually be returning this weekend for a mini getaway by myself -- and couldn't be happier with my choice to return to the Venice V Hotel.

We got to the hotel late but I had called ahead and told them we were running late and it'd be after midnight before we arrived. The front desk was expecting us and was super friendly. There was a miscommunication between the Chase Travel site and the hotel and we were put in a single-bed room but there were 4 of us and I had reserved a double-bed room. The staff at the front desk immediately found us a room that accomodated us - (actually upgraded us to Pent House #1). Pent House #1 was amazing. The views were awesome. I come from Oklahoma where everything is a little more spread out - so the hotel room itself wasn't actualy a whole lot bigger than a "normal size" hotel room in Oklahoma - but the view was completely amazing. They brought us two roll aways and we all 4 fit comfortably in that room. The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating. The location can't be beat if you want to be in the middle of the action on the boardwalk. It wasn't too loud either. And the hotel has boogie boards and bikes you can just check out no extra charge. We will defintely be back!

We had an outstanding stay, and a huge part of that was thanks to Tess at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, she went out of her way to make sure everything was taken care of. Our travel plans shifted last minute and she accommodated a late check-in without any hassle. When she found out it was a special trip for us, she arranged for a room upgrade that made the whole stay feel extra special. Partway through our visit we ran into a small issue with our room, and Tess handled it immediately, checking back in with us afterward to make sure we were happy.

What stood out most was how warm and attentive she was the entire time — nothing felt like an inconvenience to her, and she genuinely seemed to care about making our trip great. Hotels are only as good as the people running them, and Tess is a huge asset to this property. If you're staying here, hope you get to interact with her!
