Wonderful location, beautifully appointed rooms, a lovely garden to relax in, a bar and restaurant with lovely choices, delicious breakfast, friendly staff
The service was friendly but very slow. We waited having rung the bell to check in for some time and had to go and find someone. We had a table for dinner at 8pm but the ordering and then food took so long we did not get our mains until 9:30pm which is a very long time. The service was friendly, but nothing was explained to us about what was taking so long or any kind of acknowledgement that this was a very long time. It would put me off eating in the restaurant again.
Great location and Beautiful hotel.
We never have breakfast, even when it is included in the room charges, but the hotel was very accommodating and supplied us very kindly with a packed lunch.
Our room was spacious and had windows on 3 sides. It was wonderful to have them all open. The lovely breeze kept us cool enough overnight to be able to sleep during the heatwave. The bed was enormous and exceptionally comfortable.
No fridge in room. Dirty carpet and windows. Interior of room quite dull and somber, despite the many windows. Despite the generous size of the bathroom, apart from a tiny shelf above the basin, there was no space to put our toiletries. Around our room there is gravel all around, which was very noisy when people or cars passed by.
We had a "best" room which ended up being a disabled room. Was lovely and clean, breakfast was fine. Room has a fridge which was a nice surprise. Fresh milk too.
Our room was right next to a service area and washing machines started at 8:30. We could hear loudly in our room, not sure what they were washing but it was very loud. Shower over the bench area didn't work very well.
Location, very easy to get to many lovely parts of North Norfolk..
The level of cleanliness, very poor attention to detail. The general state of the surroundings, lots of weeds, straggly plants that needed watering, room (29 ) was large and had nice decor but had dirty taps, torn wallpaper, dirty hand marks around the door handles. Cobwebs everywhere.. you can’t have the windows open and close the blinds, which meant we had to be closed in all night.. Service at breakfast was hit and miss. Poured a fly out of the orange juice jug. Sausage on day one was anaemic.
Style, rooms, location
Nothing, except the meals a little overpriced for what they were.
Lovely staff and great breakfast
Lovely outside areas for drinks in the sunshine
We paid £170 for 1 night for a small, basic room
2 single beds were pushed together with a very hard, not comfortable mattress on top, pillows were stained, bathroom was small with an old, not very powerful, shower
It was lovely to have a sea view. Our room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
