Pros:

Todo muy bien. Aunque hay poca luz en la zona del baño (donde no hay ventana). Es comprensible por ser una antigua fábrica reacondicionada como hotel rural (o similar). Lo que más nos gustó es la ubicación, el parking público exterior (con abundantes plazas) y el desayuno (espectacular). Yo tb descartaría (sobre todo) la amabilidad de la familia que nos atendió con mucha generosidad, en especial Afonso que (además) habla perfectamente castellano.

Cons:

La poca luz de la zona del baño.

True warm hospitality, history abounds, great recommendations, authentic mansion house experience.
Pros:

Wonderful.place to stay. The warmth and generosity of the hosts. Home made baking and preserves are stunning. My room was huge with the castle walls out the window. The chocolate factory and history tour of the property take the experience to a whole nother dimension. It is in a rural town and they will help you find and get what you need plus other suggestions. I went there straight from lisbon airport and am so glad it was my first stop. They set me up well for the rest of my journey. Thank you for your incredible hospitality.

Our stay was delightful and we would love to return to Palacete da Real Companhia do Cacau again.
Pros:

Breakfast and the service were excellent. The main house is lovely and full of history, built in the 1800's. Our hosts were very kind and accommodated our needs with grace. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The location was great for walks to cafes. There we nice touches such as wine and snacks by the pool before dinner.

Cons:

It would have been helpful to have a working refrigerator in our room to keep cold water.

Simpatia sincera do staff e interesse no bem estar dos hóspedes.
Pequeno almoço muito bom, com produtos locais.
Local ideal para descanso e também para famílias.
Os chocolates produzidos pela família na fábrica existente no local são de óptima qualidade e recomendamos vivamente.

They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of history and charm. It’s also located in the lovely town of Montemor-o-Novo. The highlight was definitely the on-site chocolate factory tour and tasting — such a unique touch! A perfect mix of hospitality, comfort, and experience. Highly recommend.

It perfectly suited our needs to stay for a friends sons wedding nearby.
Pros:

We loved the fact that Alfonso and his family had put so much effort into restoring the property to such an amazing standard. Beautiful rooms, delicious food, and very warm and friendly hospitality. The history of the house was so interesting too.
