Great place to stay and enjoy joy the area
Nice staff
Too hot in the room
Lovely weekend all the staff were very friendly especially Jason. Breakfasts are excellent!
Firstly apologies for this late review, by no means represents our experience, just the joy and aftermath of being married!
We booked our wedding in July 2025 and it was the best decision we've ever made! Our wedding was in November 2025 and so timing was super short for the ever capable wedding planner in residence Hallie! She was the epitome of great wedding planning being quietly beside us through every decision. The wedding was at the tope end of the venue capacity yet ran like clockwork!
When our day quickly arrived, everything went smoothly thanks to Hallie and the amazing team at Stratton House, especially worth a mention was Jack, the ever happy bar manager. Nothing was too much effort and they were able to meet all of our requests.
All of our guests commented on how amazing the venue, food and accommodation were!
We couldn't have asked for a better day Stratton House Hotel and Spa
We had the most gorgeous meal on Valentines night. The service was excellent, surroundings beautiful. Will definitely be back and next time stay over to use the spa facilities to make a night of it.🩷
Quiet location close enough to Cirencester.
Large ground floor bedroom
Friendly well trained staff
Good food
Calm atmosphere in Dining Room
Log fires
The staff were friendly and helpful
The menu had not changed, which was disappointing, but the food was good.
A great stay on a Tuesday night for £110. A bargain for a gorgeous room. The staff were attentive and friendly and I really must commend the hotel for its pricing. The house red is £6.40 which is great value for a 175ml. The teas and coffees are £3! Amazing value for a quality coffee served in lovely surroundings. The food options were equally well priced and slightly cheaper than the nearby pubs and - key point - excellent quality.
Breakfast excellent
Staff good
That I had to pay for the spa on top of room & bed and breakfast. The spa however is excellent
During our stay, we found the room to be nicely appointed overall. There were a few minor issues that could benefit from attention. In the bathroom, there was a wooden stand used for towel storage, which was also the only available space for our wash bags. Unfortunately, it was quite small and unstable, making it impractical. Additionally, the sink did not have any cold running water. This was reported so it could be rectified for future guests. We were offered an alternative room but chose to remain where we were.
The bedroom itself was well appointed, featuring a comfortable king-size bed and adequate space to hang clothing. The property was clean and well maintained throughout. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and spent time in the drawing room with the log burner, which was a particularly welcome touch given the poor weather during our stay.
We only interacted with two members of staff, but both were polite, professional, and extremely helpful, which added positively to our experience.
One aspect of our stay that we found disappointing was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We were able to clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room, as well as their television, which continued until late at night. This did impact our comfort and ability to fully relax
Fabulous 1 night break, booked at the last minute and not disappointed. Very pretty old house that has kept its character as well as has some modern extensions.
Staff, from reception to bar to resturant and spa, superb.
Bar food for lunch excellent and evening meal in restaurant fabulous, great menu choices and presentation, quality and taste amazing. Very good value as well.
Some lovely wines on the list and great choice by the glass.
Spa small but good, stream room, sauna, hot tub. Loads of spa treatments but advise to book in advance so not disappointed. Reasonable priced as well
We stayed in a feature room which was lovely, didnt have a bath but next time we will ask in advance for one.
Only downside was the temperature, way to hot everywhere. We turned radiators off in room and had window open.
Overall, love the place and will definitely return.
The atmosphere was amazing, the room was very spacious, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding—fresh, clean, and perfectly delicious. The staff from both the night and morning shifts were extremely kind, lovely, and friendly.
There is no elevator, although the booking website indicates that the accommodation is accessible for people with disabilities, which could be misleading. We arrived with large luggage; however, the staff were incredibly helpful and provided excellent service.
We had a lovely stay here, the hotel is located just outside Cirencester a d is well placed to visit all the Cotswold attractions. The hotel is a Grorgian hotel with well appointed rooms and bathrooms. The public areas are atreactively furnished and comfortable with a cosy log burning stove in the drawing room. We had two fabulous evening meals with delicious locally sourced produce and the breakfasts excellent, the restaurant and bar staff were very attentive and we would highly recommend a stay here.
Staff were really friendly
Food was fab!
Loved the bath in our room 😊
Spa could have done with maybe another jacuzzi or a pool.
