Very clean comfy and good price
It was a last min stay as I was at work and made my day thank you the Tolbot inn was a pleasure x
The Hotel let me check-in early as I was going to a funeral - and that was bonus !
There was a lot of Stairs up to my room
The staff were very nice and friendly
My room has a bad smell had to use my perfume to help with the smell. The bathroom was not clean the shower had hair in it but because it was late and I needed to shower and sleep for early rise cleaned it myself. The breakfast was not worth it!
Great place evening meal and breakfast were brilliant room was comfortable too
As it was hot no air conditioning but there was a fan to try and cool the room
Lactation
Needed bit of cleaning
Location and staff
The staff were brilliant
Not warned about building works , noise was intrusive
Charming room in old part of hotel. Evening food ok. Breakfast ok. Great location for RHS Wisley.
Sadly room very hot even early May with no airconditioning. The traditional four poster bed very small and not comfortable.
Hotel a bit tatty and could do with a sympathetic refurb and redecoration.
Excellent service great breakfast and great location for where we wanted to go
Nothing totally brilliant
The owner could not be more accomodating for us. We needed some last minute adjustments to our booking and they were superb. The room was clean and cosy and the breakfast consisted of good quality produce. The soret you get from the butcher rather than a supermarket. Lovely people and lovely place.
Nothing at all. There really was nothing to dislike.
Breakfast was poor.
I like the atmosphere of the building and that the staff were very friendly.
We stayed in the old part of the building. The room was certainly 'old' but very tired. It looked in need of repainting and recarpeting. The boiler did not work and on a boiling hot day, there was no cold water in the taps to drink. We had to run the water for at least 10 minutes to get some. There was no hot water for a shower. I know the temperature was high (about 32) so we just accepted it was part of staying in a lovely old building. I just think that historic rooms need extra care - this historic was jaded and tired too. The building itself is beautiful but just needs some extra TLC.
The room was lovely and had a comfortable bed and a full size bath in the bath room.
The room didn't have any air conditioning and because it was up in the attic the temperature was unbearable even with the window wide open. In the morning - when it was slightly cooler - I went to have a shower and there was no hot water. This had broken (I found out later).
At breakfast, the first cup I took out of the tray - was filthy. It was as if a dirty cup had just been put back in with the clean ones. I was not impressed with this - nor was I impressed with the 'young staff' who didn't make any comment to apologise for this. He just didn't seem to have been trained in what to say.
I loved the heritage and history, the staff were great and the cleaning team were awesome.
The reception was brilliant and the whole atmosphere was welcoming and friendly.
Considering the intense heat and humidity it was obvious the Hotel didn’t have any air conditioning in the rooms but that was forgivable under the unusual circumstances. The afternoon and morning reception were terrific, very friendly and a a treat to e gage with. Look forward to my next stay and some more historical knowledge to be imparted by Nickolas the Napoleon specialist!! Lol’s…
All the above…
Young man on reception was exceptional.
Breakfast was good, room was clean and comfortable, and whilst a bit hot, so are our rooms at home at the moment. The fan worked and definitely helped.
Paying for parking.
Convenient
Had to pay extra for parking
