Pros:

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. No elevator so we were put on the 3rd floor since we are over 65. Bed smelt bad so I slept on top, too late at that stage to ask to be moved. Breakfast was toast and jams and coffee sachets, but the 7-11 is part of the hotel and they serve good coffee. Across the road, the usual deck chairs and umbrellas for hire but along here is a sea wall and no beach. Several food vendors and further on a covered street food market and open market with some piers and walks. The main beach is a mile or so to the south and very congested. To the north, several temples and a good view site with monkeys.

Pros:

I booked a superior room with city view. My room had no view as it had no window.
My booking included breakfast but they tried to charge 100 baht for rice.
I couldn't check my booking because the hotel WiFi didn't work in the room and only periodically in the lobby.
Also on the website it said it was connected to a shopping centre. It was next door to a 7eleven. This is a disgraceful misrepresentation.
The staff were not particularly helpful.
It would have been nice on check out if they had asked if I needed a taxi. Or was I going to the bus station.
The hotel was not exactly bad but it was not as described on the hotels.com booking site.
I just wish hotels wouldn't mislead guests at the time of booking.
