Excellent all round. The food was delicious and varied. The staff members were all very polite, friendly and helpful. The bed was huge and very comfortable.
Everything was fantastic except the the distance from the airport, as it is over 40kms from Guwahati airport, experiencing en route heavy lorries traffic.

We were given a room where basic facilities such as shower gel, toothbrush etc were not provided. When we complained, they sent a staff to open their fixed shower gel holder and replenish the shower gel. He entered the bathroom with his shoes on and stepped on the bathmat with his shoes on. When we raised alarm on that, another staff member came with some spirit to spray on the mat to clean it. They took all payment upfront. They charged 12000 for 2 people for gala night dinner where the food spread was limited and mutton was stale. 6000 per head was not worth it at all.
While they did upgrade our room post our complaints and also converted the gala dinner on the house but that wasn't expected from a Taj property.
The hotel staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Even during the rush, their warmth never faded. I casually asked for cold water once, and despite everything going on, Biswajit remembered and came back to serve me a glass of cold water. It may seem like a small gesture, but it was genuinely heartwarming. Such thoughtfulness truly makes a place feel special and leaves a lasting impression.Also a big thanks to all the other hotel staffs.
The hospitality of the hotel staff was truly exceptional and made my stay memorable. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful assistance throughout, every team member was polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. Their dedication to comfort and service created a welcoming atmosphere that felt like home. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience.

Even the bare minimum maintenance has not been done in the rooms for quite some time. The tables are scratched/ shaking, half the switches weren't working and the toilet was a mess. Buffet and the Restaurant was good. The room standards needs to be drastically improved.
