Pros:

Location was good.
Good service from the young lady behind the bar in the afternoon and in the restaurant in the evening

Cons:

Cleanliness.
Poor people skills of the older staff

The receptionist was nice.

Cons:

If you are taller than 170 centimetre, don't choose this hotel because the ceilling is low so it would be inconvinient for you. We didn't stay because of that, so I can't rate the other aspects of the hotel. Unfortunatelly we haven't got our money back even though there wasn't a word about the low ceiling in the introduction part or at the description of the room.

Historic, welcoming and surprisingly good food and drink.
Pros:

Breakfast was great, good choice of items.

Cons:

For people over 5 feet tall the corridors can be difficult to negotiate. 😀 Makes the hotel unique but long stays could become a challenge.

Excellent example of UK hospitality and catering - especially as for many overseas visitors this hot
Pros:

Lovely location alrhough bedroom was above a very busy and restricted corner - but not a problem. All food excellent as was service. It is still of the very high standard as when I used to stay regularly 15-20 years ago.

Cons:

Another easy chair in bedroom ? (Room 5).
Otherwise, all excellent!

Pros:

The building is a beautifully maintained medieval inn. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Wonderful views of the church (front) and the Weald (back). Comfortable, spacious rooms with sash windows.

Cons:

Some of the light bulbs weren't working. There was an issue with water pressure, though to be fair this is probably down to South East Water and not the hotel's fault.

Wir hatten interessante und wunderschöne Tage in Goudhurst.
Pros:

Schönes Haus mit toller Historie. Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Küche war klasse. Sehenswert ist das Frühstückszimmer mit den aussergewöhnlichen Sitzmöbeln.

Cons:

Uns fällt nichts ein.

A charming location, with good parkking
Pros:

The continental breakfast was excellent, the hand cut ham especially so, but too large for older guests

Given the water crisis, the water pressure was low, the hand basin waste pipe needed a good dose of "Mr Muscle" and the hot water never got hot, no b

Väl värt ett besök om man vill utforska omgivningarna. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka.
Pros:

Charmigt gammalt hotell/värdshus. Perfekt läge för att kunna besöka vingårdar i närheten. Dessutom Sissinghurst inom bekvämt avstånd. Underbar serviceminded personal.

Cons:

Lite obekvämt att ta upp resväskor utan hiss.
