Staying at Hotel Maidith Galápagos Inn felt like being welcomed into a home away from home.
The location couldn’t be better — everything is within walking distance, which made exploring stress-free and enjoyable. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, and breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious. I was especially grateful for how kindly they accommodated my gluten-free needs.
Juan Carlos and Elvira truly made our trip unforgettable. Even though they don’t organize tours themselves, their thoughtful recommendations completely elevated our experience — from the best tour options to wonderful local restaurants. Every tip was spot on. They were always ready to help with taxis or any questions, and always with genuine warmth.
From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt cared for and appreciated. We’re already looking forward to coming back to this special place.
I had a wonderful stay at Maidith Galápagos Inn. From the moment I arrived, everything was spotless—the rooms, common areas, and dining space were all exceptionally clean and well maintained. It’s clear that the owners truly care about their property and their guests’ experience.
Juan Carlos and Elvira were incredibly kind and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable, offering helpful tips about the area and always greeting us with a smile. Their hospitality made the stay feel personal and warm, not just like a typical hotel experience.
The inn is conveniently located just a short walk from downtown Puerto Ayora, making it easy to explore restaurants, shops, and the waterfront without needing transportation. Each morning, breakfast was delicious and very filling—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to start a day of exploring the Galápagos.
The staff throughout the hotel were attentive and friendly, always ready to help with anything we needed. I would absolutely recommend Maidith Galápagos Inn to anyone visiting the city. It’s clean, welcoming, well-located, and truly a great place to stay.
Our experience at this hotel in the Galápagos was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful and cozy in the best possible way—very clean and thoughtfully maintained. The photos truly don’t do it justice; it’s even better in person.
The hotel is also perfectly located in Santa Cruz, making it very convenient to explore the area, join tours, and enjoy nearby restaurants and attractions.
What truly makes this place special is the staff. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel at home. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care are far above average. They provided excellent tips for tours, great restaurant recommendations, and were always happy to help with anything we needed.
Highly recommended. I would definitely stay here again!
This is a really cute hotel with details in every nook and cranny! It is not on the main avenue so this might be why it was a little bit cheaper than the others.
We loved it! It was very charming.
The pool was quite refreshing after an unbearably HOT ferry from Isabela.
The owner didn't speak much English, but he gave us a printed paper with all the important information that we needed. Plus, he was very happy to wait as we translated our remaining questions with Google Translate!
A large jug of water was provided in our room for drinking and brushing teeth. --and they even had a mini refrigerator! There isn't much cold water in Ecuador, so we loved having this option!
He was there in the morning to help serve us our home cooked breakfast - delicious!
I think we booked a double room, so the bed was a bit small for us, but we snuggled.
We had a stairway to our room and a step down into the bathroom---which I was so scared I was going to wipe out in the middle of the night when I was half asleep!
I highly recommend this hotel and wish we had stayed at this one for our other nights!
The hotel is cozy, very clean, and offers personalized attention. The included breakfast is varied, nutritious, and tasty. The location is super strategic in Santa Cruz, close to the island’s key spots. Plus, the hotel owners gave us great advice on tours to make our time on the islands as productive as possible. Thank you, Juan Carlos, for making this experience so memorable.
The owner's friendliness and hands-on help made our stay exceptional. They provided invaluable logistical tips and truly personalized guidance. Plus, the hotel is small, charming, well-located, and immaculately maintained. Highly recommend for a warm, local experience!
My family and I stayed at the Maidith Inn in December and I couldn’t say enough positive things about the experience! First off, the inn itself is so beautiful and in a wonderful location! We were able to walk everywhere in town easily and in ~10 minutes and under. The staff here were also exceptional and welcoming, and the complimentary breakfasts were lovely! Our host helped us plan a few outings and was so helpful as it was our first time to this island. Definitely recommend the Maidith as a place to stay :)
Dennis the owner was lovely and very helpful. The bed was super comfy, the shower hot and with good pressure and the breakfast was nice and healthy. Thank you!
If you’re looking for a stay that feels personal, warm, and absolutely unique, Maidith Galapagos Inn is a gem in Puerto Ayora. Dennis and his team go above and beyond to make guests feel completely at home—every interaction feels genuine and thoughtful. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable Galápagos experience.
Our room was large and comfortable, providing two beds and plenty of space to relax. It included a refrigerator and ample drinking water—a thoughtful touch since the island water isn’t potable. The room struck a perfect balance of practicality and comfort, making it easy to settle in after a day of adventure.
The included breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. On the morning of our early 7:00 AM ferry to Isabela, Dennis surprised us with packed box lunches so we wouldn’t miss a meal—an amazing and considerate gesture that spoke volumes about the care they put into every detail.
The property itself is a visual delight, almost like stepping into a Gaudí masterpiece transported from Spain. Organic white curves echo coral formations, while splashes of turquoise mirror the surrounding Pacific waters. Every corner seems inspired by God and nature, creating a peaceful, almost spiritual atmosphere. It’s both playful and elegant—perfectly in harmony with the island’s beauty.
Maidith Galapagos Inn is more than just a place to sleep—it’s a heartfelt experience. Between the exceptional service, thoughtful extras, and architecture that makes you pause and smile, it’s easy to see why so many travelers fall in love with this spot. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Santa Cruz Island.
The rooms were very nice, good wifi, hot showers, but what really stood out about this hotel was the friendly welcome from our boy Dennis. He made us feel like we were staying at a relatives house, and anything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable Dennis had covered.
Really great and economical lodging. Excellent and helpful customer service by the entire staff and a nice location, close to the action on the main drag in Puerto Ayora but a block or two away from the crowds.
- great building
- breakfast was delish
- good location
- staff very friendly
- gave us packed breakfast when we had to leave very early in the morning
- quite expensive for what it is.
We loved our stay! The staff was very helpful and the room was spacious and such a unique design. We would highly recommend!
Sehr gute Lage, hilfsbereite und freundliche Inhaber, leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück
Great location. Helpful owner and really friendly. Good breakfast and even did us a takeaway when we had to leave for an early ferry. Would stay again
Owners are very helpful and friendly. The housekeeper Lourdes was lovely and prepared different and delicious breakfasts for us. The location is great, near to restaurants and walking distant to the beautiful Tortuga Bay. Very clean.
The room was too small for 3 people.
