Chivatara Resort & Spa Bang Tao Beach

Amazing

From the pictures we expected the hotel to be much bigger and found it more a simple 3-star.
The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The pool could be renovated but was maintained and clean. Gym is a little room with 4 machines and not many weights.
Breakfast is simple but ok. It’s a 5-8 min walk to the beach and left and right of the hotel you find bars and some restaurants.
Overall we had a good stay in this hotel for a couple of days.

Jag och sonen bodde här under en vecka och vi var så otroligt nöjda! Trevlig och serviceminded personal, bra priser i restaurangen, bra städning och hjälp med det man behövde. Fint poolområde och otroligt nära Bang Tao beach, ca 5min promenad. Kommer definitivt återkomma om det blir av.

Enda nackdelen var att man inte visste hur ofta poolen rengjordes då man kunde bada efter kl 20, trots att det stod att den stängde då. Såg aldrig till någon som rengjorde.

Despite advertising a shuttle from airport on the website, hotel staff were either unable or unwilling to arrange and failed to respond to several calls/email requests. Pleasant enough staff despite that.

This mid range hotel gives you all you need and was good value with a decent size room, balcony overlooking a lovely pool (with a pool bar!) Amd close to the beach, just a few minutes away. Brekky was ok with lots to choose from and the evening food was delicious. The staff are always willing to help and were really nice and easy gong. Traffic in and out of Bang Tao is difficult and taxi / tuc tucs charge extra for it. If your looking for 4* this was good value for money.

Room was spacious, ground floor stay good with young children. Restaurant was located in the middle of the hotel, under a canopy. Good breakfast, egg-station included.

Hotel has 3 children's pools, but depth was 60cm, so not the most suited for babies. (Perfect for a bit older kids) Otherwise good pool area, even very deep pool in the middle.

Small kids play area outside in the garden, nice kids play room inside as well (but air con was temporarily broken) with various toys. Small gym as well, with good air con.

Located on a busy street with shops, restaurants and bars. Bangtao area quite busy traffic with taxis (when going in and out of the area), easy access - but not the calmest area (if that is what you are looking for). Local night market quite close by.

Short walk to the beach - great beach places with many restaurants offering beach chairs and children's toys and even a swing!

All staffs were friendly and helpful.
Check-in and check-out, both went smooth and with high efficiency.
Our bed was nice and comfortable.
Breakfast was simple but nice; and, the restaurant was relaxing with wonderful pool side view.

Great location just a street away from the beach. Pool was great, food was great. 7/11 around the corner with a bunch of shops, restaurants, massage and taxi places. Would stay again. Loved it.

Very dangerous to walk to the beach with kids, to many cars and bikes at the street, no sidewalks. Need people to serve at the restaurant, few costumers and the service is poor. The pool bar is closed, you need to walk 5 min to the beach .

Great hotel in good position. Staff very friendly. Lovely pool. Bed comfy.

EXCELLENT STAFF.

Great little hotel hidden away just behind Bang Tao beach. 4-5 minutes to the beach and restaurants and small bars dotted around just outside the hotel. Rooms are a good standard, grounds and pool are very nice. Friendly staff. Breakfast just ok but all in all we had a great 7 days there.

Beskrivelsen af hotellet er misvisende, i forhold til at være et 4 stjernet luksus hotel. Det er det på ingen måder. Der er som sådan ikke nogle specifikke kritikpunkter. Alt på hotellet er bare kun middelmådigt. Morgenmaden er middelmådig og servicen fra personalet lever på ingen måde op til det vi ellers har oplevet i Thailand.

Poolområdet var rigtig fint. Dog spillede der høj musik til ud på aftenen, selvom bar området var tomt 90 % af tiden.

Hotellet ligger på en gade med barer og “massage klinikker”, så ikke det mest charmerende. Men man kan dog gå til stranden på 5 min.

Til sidst er 95 % af gæsterne på hotellet russere.

Notre chambre était au rez-de-chaussée odeurs de moisissure très présente je suis dans le bâtiment et croyez moi que l'odeur m'a brûlé les poumons.
Changement de chambre encore rez-de-chaussée odeur toujours présente mais moins.
Chambre pas contractuelle aux photos elles sont d'unes obscuritées.
La clim fait un bruit d'enfer, la salle de bain en 15 jours jamais un coup d’eponge passé.
Petit dejeuner tout est froid le café c'est de l'eau sale, les fruits c'est au compte goutte, il y en n'a pas souvent, l'assiette à disposition est si petite pour le nombre de personnes.
La piscine très belle mais le chlore mon dieu on n'y perds la peau et la couleurs du maillot de bain.

Ganska tråkigt område o en liten promenad till stranden. Trevlig personal men otroligt dåliga på engelska .
Helt ok frukost.
