I love the staff. Amy and Angel did a great job taking care of me and my family.
The fact that there is no parking on the property and that you have to pay for valet.
The room was spacious and slept 5 comfortably. Amenities worked, fridge, microwave, iron, TV's. We didn't use the room coffee pot. Shower worked well. The free breakfast was decent. Sausage patties, fluffy eggs, cereal, oatmeal, flour tortilla and spicy tinga, toast, bagels, Danish, home potato. Beautiful hotel entryway and breakfast area inside and out. Bayside restaurant was decent Beautiful restaurant setting. Kids loved seeing the airplanes fly so low over the hotel to the airport thats 5min away from hotel. They were able to see cruise ships docked on the water, like the Disney cruise ship.
Loved walking distance to restaurants, and the water.
Our family stayed 2 nights over the kids spring break in April 2026. The room carpet had an 8 inch length by 1 inch width cut in the carpet in the bedroom by the door and closetand wearing heels can cause a person to trip. There was no vent in the restroom. No door to separate toilet from rest of the bathroom. So if a family wants to brush their teeth, wash their face, etc the whole bathroom is occupied by the person using the toilet. Really bad set-up. There is No pool as advertised. The hotel is going through renovation as I was told on the second day we stayed and my kids wanted to gonswimming. That should have been mentioned upon check-in. Majority of house keeping didn't understand English in the house keeping dept. When asked for extra towels by passing by housekeeping cart, because we didnt have time to call housekeeping on first day, so we had to call housekeeping hours later when we were back in the room. No worker in passing understand English when we asked where something was located. Didn't like that we were told ,if we wanted to go swimming, we had to walk 1 to 2 blocks to another hotel that was allowing and had an agreement from homewood Suites to the neighboring hotel to go swimming. Or that they could call another hotel to allow us to swim with our hotel key. I can see why booking.com had this hotel and room for $700 for a two night stay. Get what you pay for.
Before we were were told the pool was closed down, my kids and I went walking through the hotel to find it ourselves. Asking workers in passing several didn't understand English. We finally found a construction worker that thought we wanted the gym and showed us that they converted a hotel room into a gym. That was somewhat nice. We passed more construction going on looking for the pool only to find more construction going on.
The site does not have self parking. Only Valet at $60 a day, $15 if you're visiting for a while and leaving.
view & area
Paying good money for friday-sunday and no cleaning service.
Bed was not conferrable felt like a motel 6 bed.
Great location, close to Little Italy and bay said.
Stuff was very friendly, helpful and professional.
Breakfast was decent.
Housekeeping lady was very nice ,you can request fresh towels, extra bed sheets or whatever you run out of in the room, she will get for you.
Carpet in room needs deep cleaning! It was extremely dirty.
Pool was under construction. They allowed you to use pool in nearby hotel.
This place should deserve more than one star, but the way management handled their planned pool closure is laughable at best. Firstly, the property itself is in good condition. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is actually pretty stellar considering it's a Homewood / HGI. The rooms had some spotty handy work here and there, but I assume that's getting fixed with their renovations. That brings me to why this review is one star. They decided to close the pool halfway through the stay for renovations with no notice. This was not advertised at any point during booking as is standard practice across Hilton brands. When I mentioned this in effort to receive some form of points compensation, I was told by management that they would not be providing points as they provided commensurate service by allowing guests to walk 15 minutes to a nearby property to use their pool. A 15 minute walk off property is not a reasonable accommodation. I would be understanding if this were a last minute emergency scenario, but considering this was planned and the manager's response felt rehearsed and ungenuine, it's very telling that the management team does not care about customer service. It's spring break season in a beach town... failing to advertise a pool closure and pretending guests having to walk 15 minutes off property for an advertised amenity is reasonable is just unacceptable. It's such a shame because the rest of the staff were great and I really enjoyed my stay otherwise, but when you are in the hospitality business you can't treat guests like numbers on a spreadsheet and expect repeat customers.
TL;DR: don't book if having a pool is important to you or if you want to feel valued as a guest.
Great experience
Thank you Leilani
It was a nice close to petco park and the area was nice, room was perfect and Mia treated us in a very professional and nice way
Location and breakfast
the location is good.
$60 per day valet parking is quite pricy and a little inconvenient. The room looks old especially the bathroom.
Nice size of room, with kitchen
Things in breakfast finished very quickly
Attractive hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and quiet. We loved that breakfast was included and offered both hot and cold items. It was a very family friendly hotel in a good location.
The pull out couch bed was uneven and pretty uncomfortable. Extra bed linens not in the room for pull out couch, room needed some minor repairs such as crack/dent in kitchen tile, TP roll loose in wall.
The one bedroom suite was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great!
It wasn’t as close to some of the things we wanted to walk to, but driving wasn’t so bad. Valet parking was high, I wish they’d shared the options nearby.
